Banfield Coal Creek is the only place I will take my animals even after moving almost an hour away. I have a German Shepard, since he was about 7 months and had a bad experience at a vet became extremely aggressive at the vet and was rejected by many other vets in his younger years. Banfield Coal Creek vet techs, immediately took the time on our first visit, 5 years ago, to understand it was him protecting since he didn't do this anywhere else. They took him away from me to see if it helped and he was totally different. They now arrange for me to drop him off in vestibule where they take him without me ,and he does great. We now have been returning for 5 years of care along with my Yorkie and elderly, cat.I LOVE, LOVE the vet techs here . They know us when I come in with my other animals and without looking at a file know who we are and ask about whichever pet isnt in. They all have been there since we started visiting which is rare. If the vet techs changed here I'd be devastated. I also love Ben at the front desk who always remembers us and will always help find away to schedule my GSD so its not stressful or last minute for one of my older pets.I have seen many excellent vets here as well, but their techs and staff are so caring, thorough, and remember everything. They are all so wonderful with all 3 of my animals .❤️ I am hoping the staffs longevity which isnt always the case at vet offices, is a sign Banfield as a company knows how great they are and treats them well ...cause this group deserves it, and why we are so committed to our animals receiving their care here no matter how long of a commute. This is a place full of people who truly care long term for your pet's wellbeing. They are also very upfront about pricing and have such great affordable care plans.

Moved my apointment from 11:30 am to 4:30 pm in rush hour traffic. 13 minutes late to the appointment because of traffic... so they cancel the appointment when I arrive... this is exactly what I was warned about by others. Very unprofessional considering I scheduled the appointment at 11:30 to avoid this. Look for a hospital that actually wants to see your pets, it shows they care.

Worst experience ever... don't get any of the yearly subscriptions they offer. At this location, they spayed my cat and left the last stitch kind of open "on purpose" (probably the veterinarian's incompetence). I was scheduled for a return visit two weeks after to check on healing. I returned after two weeks and all the stitches seemed closed and clean. So they told me that they will check my kitty and took her to the back for the veterinarian to check on her. After 30 minutes, the veterinarian came back and show us how the last stitch opened!!! I was pissed!!! She opened it by force, wish I had a picture of her belly "before" it was checked on. Obviously I had to pay more money!!! Also on the checkups you get by becoming a member, they use any excuse to charge you extra, any excuse. My cats have been always healthy but they always found vaccinations, dewormer and such...

wonderful people— the techs, the vet, and the front counter ladies. everyone was very welcoming and kind, dr rebecca and the tech were so insightful and kind to my cat!i came from capitol hill for an injury for my cat— i would make the drive down again just for this location for future visits!

We drove 45 minutes to this location as they were the only one in the area with a same-day appointment available, and I wish they were closer to us! The staff at this location are phenomenal! Everyone we met - the receptionist, manager, vet tech, vet - were wonderful and they loved on my old girl like she was one of theirs. They were informative with the services provided without being pushy, transparent with pricing, and our visit was minimally stressful.

This is an email I just sent to their corporate office. If you need a great vet, please check out Dr. Rebecca!!!!I just wanted to gush over Dr. Rebecca, Tech Dani and the team at Coal Creek Banfield.I had been going to the Issaquah location bc it is 1 mile from my home but I could only get an appointment at the Coal Creek location and I'm SO glad I did!!!!I have been watching Brody, my cat, wasting for a couple weeks. I was told by the Issaquah clinic dismissively that he's perfectly healthy for an old cat and they sent me on my way. I told them I was concerned and this all happened so fast and the Dr just shrugged me off. Fast forward to Friday: I knew I needed to do SOMETHING bc he lost more weight but there were no appointments at Issaquah only Coal Creek, so I took it. I feel like it was fate!The tech, Dani, was so thorough, asking a hundred questions, I never felt rushed and I always felt she was listening. Then Dr. Rebecca came in. The two of them listened to me, palpated every inch of poor Brody, took him to the other vet on premise for a second look, and were so empathetic when I finally lost it and broke down crying. I feel like they understood where I was financially and helped me come up with a plan that was reasonable, felt proactive for me, and helped me add on packages to my wellness plan to get things done now that I could pay off monthly. They ticked off everything on my checklist of what I look for in a care team. Even though they had to deliver bad news, I felt so great about the whole experience knowing that these two were not going to let me leave without having some sort of answers.I will recommend your Coal Creek clinic to the world! Thank you to Dani and Dr. Rebecca for really hearing me and really caring about my kitty, Brody.

We went to the New Castle, WA location today and they are amazing! We plan to continue to make the hour drive because they were just that good to our dog and to us! I wish I could give more STARS??

Terrible experience.Front desk receptionist overcharged me like $120+. In which one of the [male] doctors had to come and fix it (thank you!). I was given like 5 different medications from the nurse who explained the doses and treatment faster than anybody could comprehend. This was all within like 30-60 seconds. Cost was not gone over at all.I am a front desk receptionist in another medical clinic, so transparency and communication should be a priority.I was swiftly brought to the front desk where a $500 bill was presented to me. I asked for an itemized bill BEFORE making payment... she said "ok" as she waited to swipe my card. I had called beforehand and was told New Patient office visits were free of charge. This was still included in the $500 bill... until the doctor I mentioned earlier came and fixed it.This whole ordeal just at CHECK OUT took about 15 minutes. I was at my appt for a whole 2 hours - HALF of that spent waiting.Dr.Kwan was ok. She left us in the room for 30+ minutes without letting us know she was going to be gone for that long. In which she didn't even come back, her nurse did.

As a paid Banfield OWP member, my cat has some ear problems need medical attention, and I tried to book appointment with this hospital through their app, as they have the earliest availability, however it always end up in system error, so I called the hospital in the next morning, and the person picked up the phone and told me there is someone in front of me and put me on hold. Which I’m ok, but I was waiting for 10 mins, she never come back, and I have to go. Seems like they don’t care about their customers at all. Very upset.

My dog needed to see the vet and was told that was not possible as the Dr at Newcastle had a 20 lb. weight limitation. We have been a customer for years and are on their plan. Told to call around. My dog had seizures and needed to at least be seen they refused at all Banfield locations within 40 miles even their urgent care in Tukwila, Wa on 1/16/2022

DO NOT BRING YOUR PET HERE. Level of care is really bad. There are many other veterinaries with a much higher emphasis on taking care of your pet instead of just trying to get more money out of you.

Don't bring your animals here if you care for their lives. Like other reviews, my cat was misdiagnosed at this location which resulted in her having to be put down at only 3 years old. I never pursued legal action because vets are heavily protected against malpractice, but I'm still heartbroken years later. The banfield team put my cat under anesthesia before they finished her blood work and when she came home she was very much not okay. I took her back 3 times and each time they said she was fine and that she was "just recovering" when she obviously wasnt. I finally took her to a real hospital and they said she had a kidney infection which likely took over after being put under anesthesia and high stress at Banfield. The hospital was very clear that what happened was gross negligence from the vets at this location. If they had done the blood work properly they would have seen the infection and not done any procedures. The hospital fought for days to try and save her life, but ultimately it was too late. I blame myself a lot of the time for not going to the hospital sooner, but the sad reality is that I trusted the vets here at banfield. That was my mistake, but I wanted to warn anyone reading this to please go somewhere else. Go to a local hospital and not some chain which doesn't care about you or your pet.
