Been going here for maybe 25+ years. Great place! Just took my granddaughter there in early August and I just saw her and her gel was still on her finger nails, granted she needs a touch up but she lives out of town , so the touch up will be in another town.

I came in for my first-ever pedicure and thought that it was a very relaxing experience. Christine was welcoming into her shop and took her time with the pedicure. I will definitely return, as prices are also reasonable!

I was looking forward to having my nails done getting ready for a wedding until I sat down and found out they're trying to pass off a color that I didn't want and when I asked them if I could do the color I picked they said they didn't have enough nail polish to do both my toes and my fingers so I just had him do a French manicure mind you this was just a paint color change so after filing my nails they left all the old enamel on the inside of my nails which was bright pink and I did a white French manicure and she got attitude when I asked her if she could file that out she said you won't be able to see it but when you turn your hand over you can see all the pink inside my nail I ended up tearing up because I just felt totally disrespected I pay good money $75 for nail polish change then I gave her a tip and she didn't even say thank you nail tech didn't even deserve a tip this place is really going downhill when you're the paying customer you feel like you should be going there and have a great experience and walk out feeling happy about your service I felt stressed and disrespected so after my nails were done they're still pink under my nail beds see picture

Big fan of my shellac manicure with green chrome! I walked in while waiting for my dog to get groomed next door at Pet Station, and waited about 10 minutes. The total was $45 for prior gel removal, base, and the chrome powder (I’ve paid up to $70 for similar at other salons). Love how vibrant and shimmery they look, I would return!

This has been my go-to place for years. Recently, I went back after not going for about a year. The pedicure was good. The manicure with shellac was okay at best. The final result is wavy and thick. The two bigger issues were the fact that I was quoted one price, then charged another price and they claimed they didn't quote me what they originally said. Then, they've always been cash only for tips. When I crossed off the tip portion of the price (which I've always had to do in the past due to their cash foe tips policy) and I handed back my receipt and proceeded to look in my purse for cash. The employee loaded said, No Tip, No Tip? I said I thought I was supposed to give cash. She said again...No Tip? I then handed her her tip which was 20% of the services she completed. She looked at me like she was disgusted. I then said, I will give the other employee her tip and walked to that employee and gave her her 20% tip (again something I've done and usually see other customers do for split services.) After all tips were given, I turned to leave and the employee at the register still looked irritated. I'm sorry to say that I will probably be looking for another nail salon. My daughter recently had an issue with an appointment at Newcastle Nails. She had an appointment but wasn't put in a chair until a full 45 minutes after her scheduled time. This has happened on multiple times (with me, too) throughout the years but I've always given them another chance. After this last incident and low quality mani, I will definitely move on.

The people are very nice. Chairs are comfy. Always a good cooking show or remodel series. Feels great to get a little pampered. Nice manicure and pedicure service.

I got a manicure and a pedicure here today. I was very unhappy with the pedicure. On one of my big toes the nail technician cut my nail way too low and then clipped away some skin. It did not bleed, but now there is a gouge in my big toe, she said my nail needed to grow out properly. None of the instruments she used were sterilized. They came out of a yellow tray and I could tell they had been used before and not sterilized. The paint job was horrible. On every toe the color does not cover each toenail. It's like they are partially painted. I am visiting here and it's a good thing I will never be back to the salon.

I made an appointment online at 10 AM the previous day. The appointment was for 9 AM, but the business was closed when I got there. The sign said it opened at 10, but the platform had offered 9 AM as an option. I called the business phone number and got no callback. I'm sure it was unintentional (hence the three stars) but still unprofessional.
