I don’t usually leave reviews. But I decided to today after getting off the phone with one of the pharmacists. I understand you guys are busy and so it takes longer to get medications and such. Everytime I’ve gotten medication from the Newcastle pharmacy I’m waiting in long lines or dealing with standing there being ignored. But I called in because I had an emergency medication get prescribed. I asked if it was ready and she said it would be two hours. I was a little shocked and I said “ oh! Two hours?” And she interrupted me and said “ yeah two hours, I have to work now” and hung up on me. I’ve dealt through rude customer service from them before, and maybe it’s because I have a migraine right now, but I just cannot do the rudest today. The pharmacists need to stop being rude. If it’s because they’re overworked then shame on their bosses, but also shame on them for not being able to show basic kindness. I hope next time my experience will be better. Today made me cry.

This place is always slammed, always slow, and about 50% of the time doesn’t have my prescription filled when I show up for pick up. It doesn’t matter what time of day, it’s always a line and always slow. The folks staffing it try, but it’s just too much of a pain. Won’t be back and I’d encourage anyone reading this to use a different pharmacy unless you like to wait in lines just to be told to come back in 30 minutes!

Horrible customer service, staff is extremely rude and unprofessional. I had a very humiliating experience trying to transfer my prescriptions to this pharmacy. The lady was extremely rude and very impatient and constantly kept interrupting me during our conversation which was very disappointing. Anyways I am glad I moved to Safeway Pharmacy Bellevue as they are very friendly and professional. I wish I could give these folks 0 stars!!

I've called 12 times over the course of 3 weeks and gotten through once. When you go in store, it's a half hour line. Clearly something is wrong staff level wise here.

Val really helped me out. I was waiting for my medication delivery for a few days before she called and told me that the pharmacy has placed a temporary hold on shipping out all medications. I'm glad that Val kept me informed so that I didn't need to keep wondering if my delivery was going to come.

Rarely pick up the phone when I call. I understand that it can be difficult during peak hours, but I can’t get any questions answered without coming in-person and waiting 30 minutes in their chronically slow line. I don’t know if it’s a staffing issue or just a lack of urgency, but I hope it gets better soon.

Terrible Experience - Lack of Knowledge and Care
I’ve been a loyal customer at our local Safeway pharmacy Newcastle for years, but my recent experience has left me incredibly disappointed, and I feel compelled to share my story to warn others.
I went in to pick up a prescription and encountered a pharmacist who seemed completely disinterested and uninformed about my medication.
When I asked a few questions regarding potential sides of diabetes medication , the pharmacist appeared confused and barely provided any useful information. It felt like I was more of a nuisance than a valued customer seeking help. Instead of offering guidance, they brushed me off, making it clear that they didn’t care about my concerns or my health.
What’s even more frustrating is that this isn’t the first time I’ve experienced issues here, They often blame insurance for problems that are clearly their responsibility.
It’s alarming to think that someone responsible for dispensing medication could be so indifferent and uninformed.
I left feeling more anxious about my health than when I arrived, and I wouldn’t trust this pharmacy with my well-being in the future.
I strongly recommend seeking your pharmaceutical needs elsewhere. Your health is too important to be handled by someone who doesn’t seem to care or know what they’re doing.
I sincerely hope that someone from higher management takes a closer look at this location and considers bringing in new management. Improvements are desperately needed to ensure that customers receive the care and attention they deserve.

Mina Leo Buddha Janice amazing!! Coal creek parkway Safeway is the best especially in the evening when I’m tired after taking care of beautiful mom with dementia. They are so hopeful and greets me with a smile every time! ❤️sorry they are not I. Pharmacy lol but I can’t fix . Please pass on ?

This pharmacy has become the worst I have I ever dealt with. I was a pharmacist for 40 years and the attitude of most of the staff here, pharmacists and techs, is appalling. The chinese pharmacist, 'Pie' raised her voice at me when I had a question about my prescription. She also was too 'busy' to call my insurance to deal with a problem so she misinformed the insurance just to get my Rx out of her way. She is extremely condescending and rude. I don't understand how she is tolerated by the company. After 30+ years of going here for prescriptions I am transferring all my Rxs to another pharmacy. I will never go to this Safeway pharmacy again.
