Depending how busy they are to focus on patient care. You can tell when they are busy they act like they are in a hurry to get things done. When they should just focus on patient care. Not hurrying you out the door to take the next patient.

Keely, Kara, Erin, and Dr. Matlich are fantastic maternity ward staff at Newport Hospital. They are all highly skilled and experienced, and they go above and beyond to provide their patients with the best possible care. I am so grateful for their kindness and support during our pregnancy and childbirth.Dr. Matlich was my wife's obstetrician, and she was amazing. She was patient and understanding, and she answered all of our questions thoroughly. She made us feel comfortable and informed throughout our pregnancy, and she was supportive of our birth plan. She was present during our labor and delivery, and she helped bring our baby into the world safely.Keely, Kara, and Erin were my wife's nurses during her labor and delivery, and they were incredible. They were calm and reassuring, and they helped my wife through every contraction. They were also very supportive of me, the husband, and they made sure that I was involved in the birthing process as much as I wanted to be.After we gave birth, Keely, Kara, and Erin helped us get settled in our room with our new baby, and they showed us how to care for him. They were also very attentive to our needs, and they made sure that we were comfortable and my wife was recovering well. A special celebration dinner was also prepared for us. Very kind indeed.I am so grateful to Dr. Matlich, Keely, Kara, and Erin for all of their care and support. They made our pregnancy and childbirth experience the best it could possibly be. I highly recommend them to any woman who is planning to give birth at Newport Hospital.

I went in for what I thought might be a heart attack.and my wife didn't think I was serious. I had numbness in my right shoulder and arm. But Dr.Burns was above great he took my symptoms seriously. All turned out fine I had pulled the nerves in my shoulder.I would highly recommend Dr.Burns.

Every time my family needs medical help here we are treated exceptionally well. Dr. Lilya is very thorough and knowledgable. The nurses and staff are friendly and try to lighten the mood. We've come from large cities where the care was not nearly as professional as Newport and definitely trust them with emergencies.

Took my adopted daughter into the hospital last night she had been assaulted in a school fight had been body slammed by a boy so I took her to the Newport hospital imagining they would probably give her an x-ray and possibly at least ibprofen or something for some pain relief, but Dr Burns absolutely and utterly refused to do an x-ray or to provide any type of comfort or to prescribe any type of ibuprofen so that her ins could pay for the prescription. He absolutely completely did nothing for her at all. So tonight we took her into kootenai medical center, turns out her tailbone is possibly broken and they're concerned about pain management and keeping her comfortable so Dr Burns is a Dr very incapable of empathy and showed great lack of care or concern towards his patients

Cons:Only one person in with you even if someone arriving with you has no where to go.Extreme amount of time for even waiting to be seen by doctor.Pros: Friendly staff, Doctor did great work and explained procedure in terms understandable etc. I left in better condition than i came in.Iwas recently in there for an extreme laceration caused by a chainsaw. On arrival they came out to tell us we were parked in emergency drop off. After seeing situation they were very helpful and got me immediately checked in to ER.I had two people with me and only one was let in. Even though we were not from the area and he had no way to leave he had to wait outside. I was a bit worried as the wait was extreme for them to actually begin even cleaning it much less closing it up. . After about 4 hrs i went to ask about both my friend waiting about about how long it would be for my injury to get worse without treatment. That's when they came in to cut off my glove around the injury. Without having given me anything for pain yet. The end result though I am okay with. Dr Leuters (i believe was his name) did an awesome job stitching up my hand. It might not be the prettiest job but he did a thorough job. I didn't do half that well sewing in Home Economics in school. The nurses and staff were all decent and helpful.

Worst place to work unless you have a family member also working there.Sr. Management has no respect for employees and are very one sided, AP controller has had 5 employees just quit and walk out under her management (and counting) and they just don’t see the problem, don’t waste your time working there. Read their reviews, here and on job websites first

2nd 5 hr wait in emergency room in 1 week. Not much going on to warrant that long of wait. Mother in law have tests done. Pretty sad hospital, hope if I can make it to different hospital.

My husband came in for a knee injury today. The staff was awesome. Very kind, and lighthearted. Made us feel comfortable, made sure we understood his diagnosis (although not severe), and were swift about getting us care. Overall a great experience!

You could start by actually providing care. You had the nerve to turn my bleeding 5 year old away from the emergency room because we didn't "have an appointment". As a hospital, aren't you legally required to provide care? Not sure why you're even there. ??

Doctor’s don’t listen to their patients. I’m overly in tune with my body and KNOW I’m still dehydrated. Thanks Dr Peterson for just giving me a covid test instead of doing blood work. I know I’m dehydrated because I get constipated really bad and have continuous bad bloody noses. I can only drink a little bit of water at a time without throwing up. Don’t become a doctor if you refuse to listen to your patients.

ER is testing people before their consent. Nuremberg code.

Went in to ER for a ankle X-ray only and ended up spending a hour with someone else who was being actively tested for streptococcus and COVID-19. They could have put that person in any room but chose to stick them in a room with someone who was not sick. Now unfortunately due to the person being extremely sick I’ve been told to quarantine temporarily because of their mistakes. This is not even the first unprofessional mistake I’ve had to file a complaint over!
