Today was the last straw! After approximately 3 and 1/2 years using this pharmacy, my experience has prompted me to go elsewhere ASAP.I called in a refill last weekend and was told it would be ready by “Wed after 2pm”. Wednesday came and went with no word on my needed refill. I did receive a text from the pharmacy about another Rx that was ready for pickup, however, something I was not out of yet, an automatic refill. So I called the pharmacy number and listened to the recorded line to hear the status of my prescription where I learned my Rx was “on order and would be ready for pickup on Monday after 2pm”, 3 days AFTER I would run out of said NEEDED Rx.Attempting to speak with a pharmacy member on the phone line proved impossible as the system is a veritable endless loop of futility and kept ending with a rude repeated recording of “there is no operator on duty.” So I hung up and called the store’s customer service number instead, finally getting transferred to the pharmacy by asking a human to do it for me.I spoke to Elinor in the Pharmacy about my prescription problem and she went to check on it. Lo and God Behold! My Rx had indeed already been ordered and was “on the shelf”, she said. I could come and get it. (Never mind the one hour drive there and one hour drive home again.) Almost as soon as I hung up, I received a text from Safeway saying that my refill was ready for pickup. (Was it ready all along?)So….why was my Rx not filled and a text sent to me when the prescription arrived when ordered? Why did it take my own detective work to track down my prescription? I wanted to know, of course. So I asked when I arrived to pick it up.The pharmacist told me to call Safeway Customer Service and ask them. I was handed a tiny piece of paper with the Safeway Customer Service phone number. He said there was nothing he could do and that it was MY responsibility to fix it. …… Really? So I called and I filed a formal complaint and am awaiting their return call within 24-48 hours. Updates to follow.

This pharmacy, man ... don't expect them to know your name. They're strictly on a DOB basis. Here's an example of their customer service that happened today:I walk up to the pick up window. Pharmaceutical assistant says nothing. Staring right at me, dead silence. I say "hey"PA says "DOB" I tell her.PA says "is this a new prescription for you?"I say yes.PA says "would you like a consult with pharmacist?"I say sure. Then we both wait about 5 minutes for pharmacist. The line is 5 deep behind me.Pharmacist says "do you have any questions?"I say no. Pharmacist says "okay" and walks away. LOL.PA says "I thought you had questions".I said "no, this is a new medication for me."PA says "let me try to get him back here."I said "no thanks, I'll take my chances."However, A+ on their vaccinations. Love that lady.

Just an awful pharmacy. If you have a prescription that needs to be filled prepare to wait an extra month as it takes them that long to walk from the register to the med lockers

This pharmacy is incredibly slow, and I’m not talking about just refilling prescriptions. I can understand the filling process taking some time due to how small they are and the demand. But the line inside, be prepared to be waiting at least 45 minutes too an hour. They also don’t really have any customer service when it comes to any issues with filling prescriptions. It takes two days for them to fill so you wait two days and hear nothing. You have to call them to see what’s going on, by then it’s too late to stay up on you medication. My particular medication can’t be filled by law until I only have two left to begin with. This time they don’t have any of it in stock and haven’t for a while and they don’t know when they will get any back in. Instead of calling me to inform me of this, I was left to wait and wait till I called them to figure out what was going on. Now it’s the weekend and the doctors office is closed and I can’t get another prescription sent somewhere else until Monday. You also have to call them and make sure they fill a prescription if it’s sent to them early. But yet they can keep filling a prescription that you have asked them to stop filling and even take off your profile several times.

Traveling through the area, we opted to shop here for groceries for the RV. The store is clean and very well stocked. What made this trip delightful was meeting Cobi - she was friendly, helpful and made our day! Not only did she direct us to find our items, she popped into the busy deli and helped us with our chicken to go order. Thanks! And a Starbucks refresher is a great way to prepare yourself for a warm summer day.

I purchased a 4 pack ofEnergizer Ultimate AA lithium batteries on Friday, July 22, 2022, at the Safeway in Newport, Washington at 5:37 pm. my cashier was Nellie.
she charged me $18.99. I had seen the sale price at about $10.
I started to hand Nellie a twenty dollar bill. she said that the bill was $47.67, with a few other items I had picked up, that sure surprised me. I did not question it, because battery racks often have packages reracked by customers, in the wrong place. I handed her a $50 dollar bill, got my change and left. I was in the area for a huge Zimmer/Poirier Family Reunion at The Mudhole, just outside of Priest River, July 22, 23, 24. I did not end up using the high priced batteries. I came back to Safeway #1159 at 3:32 pm on Sunday, July 24, 2022. I was directed to the customer service counter. Rhiannon was the cashier. she accepted the batteries and receipt. She scanned the batteries and the price came back as $9.99. With tax, I received a $10.76 refund. I said that the receipt showed that I paid $18.98 + tax. Rhianna first asked if I purchased a larger battery pack I said that I hadn't. She told me that the only way I could have been charged that amount is if I had purchased the larger pack. She said the only way she could give me that larger refund is if I returned a large package of batteries I never had a larger pack.
I don't know if the problem is labeling, or something else. I received just over half of what I paid. Inventory and accounts received should resolve this issue. Safeway kept half of my money. Rhiannon virtually accused me of lying She was not happy the I did raise my voice. I'm sure she did not want others to gear of my dilemma. She did not present as professionally as I would expect a shift manager to show. She said she would have to ask me to leave. I said, Without the rest of my money?" She took the batteries, said, "I gave you your refund," and walked away. As I left the store, 3 times I said, "Check your battery prices, you could be overcharged, and if you return them, you will not get all of your money back."
I do have both the purchase receipt and the refund receipt.
What say you?

Not about to go out of their way to be helpful. I keep getting told to do one thing, I tell them it didn't work, told I am wrong. So I am on the third level of Hell and all that needed to be done is that they take 1 minute out of their time. This is for vaccinations. Don't get me started on the pharmacy part. The waiting forever to get your prescription to be told it is not ready even though you have a texts saying it is, hello Purgatory

Understaffed, yes. But they do the best they can for the size of community that uses them. Don't let nothing get you down, guys. I appreciate you all.
