It was really a weird experience for me. There was a guy standing in front of the store door. He doesn’t really welcome people. But he was just there. In front of the entrance, staring. I just assumed he was waiting for someone.
When i was about to check out, I noticed that he actually works for the store but he is wearing orange. And he was very nice to the white customers in front of me. When I was done paying, the guy was outside the door staring at me again and looking at my bags. I smiled at him but he just looked at me with a straight face. It felt really off. I felt discriminated. Like he seems like he is trying to see if I stole something.

A relatively new grocery outlet and a great location that is convenient for our house. I love shopping at grocery outlet cuz you never know what you're going to find and and we often get pleasant surprises here

Don’t listen to the 1star reviews-this place is great. I go at least 3 times a week as I live near by and I always have a great experience with all of the staff! Very pleasant shopping experience all around!

Beautiful well organized store with a great variety! Always great prices, happy helpful clerks, and you can shop safely at night which is a plus.

Wife went into the store at about 7:00 pm on 11/19/25 and saw the advertisement for a turkey for $10 if you pay $50 or more. She wanted to buy it but they had to ring up the order again. They did not have to ring up each item. The manager was really mad and acted like it was such an inconvenience. Afterwards, my wife said thank you and the manager ignored her. She was very rude!

We have been in a few times now. The store is clean and well organized, with good bargains. Staff were helpful and friendly. Today, at 10:30am on a Friday, there was maybe one other shopper in the store. I hope they are doing enough business to stay around as it's a gem of a place.

I go out of my way to shop here on the routine. Our family enjoys the prices and the variety of items often not found at other stores. My experience with staff has been positive, and the store is clean and organized. For a brand new operation of this size and volume of business, the owners and staff seem to have rapidly worked out any kinks.

I AM DEVASTATED ON THE REVIEWS BECAUSE EVERY TIME MY WIFE AND I COME IN THERE IS ALWAYS A GOOD EXPERIENCE. We always tend to come in around evenings on Mondays or Tuesdays because the evening crew is so funny, especially the cashier Maria. I have met the owner a few times and he is also super friendly and actually takes the time to speak to his customer. This store is always clean and stocked up in the restroom.
11/3 - Today my wife text me and told me you will never believe who I ran into and who was my cashier and it was Maria and then she seen the owner and told him that she was a very good worker always smiling. Honestly I hope someone acknowledges Maria, she has been more than wonderful she is super fast at checking people out and she keeps herself professional but also super funny. She is extremely knowledgeable in a lot of things especially wine, cars and dogs and in all honesty the reason we keep coming to this Grocery Outlet from Des Moines is because of the environment here from the staff. The other staff is friendly and welcoming as well but Maria isn’t too shy to try to get you to crack a smile. I’m not surprised when people want to talk to her she is a great person and We need more cashiers like this!! Thank you grocery outlet

Last month store staff searched my 88 years old dad, accusing him of stealing and hiding tomato in his pocket, of course there was nothing in his pockets. What disgusting incident!
My dad worked all his life, far beyond retiring age, I can’t even imagine how humiliating it was for him, wish I was with him that day.
If I could score this place less than one star I would.

Store is clean good stuff at good prices
my problem is I was checking out with the girl on check stand 2 and I asked a question because I mistaken her for a manager because she was wearing a collar shirt and she asked the manager and right away she scolded at the cashier saying what do u need, what do u want. I don’t know why she thought that’s ok to do that in front of me. I understand bad days but to sit there and have attitude and talk to her like she’s not human is not ok. That is someone’s daughter so I told the girl at check stand 2 I was disgusted with how that manager spoke to her and she looked at me and apologized which made me more angry because it’s the wrong person apologizing no one should be spoke to like they aren’t human or treated poorly because you have manager power. I hope the owner or general manager sees this and does something because imagine that was your wife/sister/mom or even daughter.

I bought a grass-fed skirt steak, and as soon as I opened the package, there was a terrible odor of rotten meat. It was so bad that I had to open both the front and back doors to air out the house. I called the store to report the issue, advise them to remove the remaining product from the cooler. The lady i spoke to thought it was funny and offered me in-store credit. When I asked if they wanted me to return the meat, she advised against it, saying definitely not. I cleaned out the packaging, but the smell persisted. I ended up bringing it back to the store the following morning. I explained the situation to the cashier, and the store manager came over. I repeated my explanation and suggested that they might consider removing the rest of the product from the shelves. It seemed like she was not particularly concerned and asked me what she was supposed to do. I mentioned that the previous night, the store had offered me in-store credit. She asked where the meat was and I explained that I had been advised not to bring it back, she was annoyed and rolled her eyes, and walked away. These stores cater to a consumer with different expectations around freshness and quality. I know they purchase products that are on their way out (due to expire) and pass along the discounts they negotiate but situations like this happen far too often. From now on I will drive the additional 3 minutes to QFC. I think they are probably fine for beverages, chips, cleaning supplies, pet food, but be sure to check the expiration dates. I didn't check when I purchased the skirt steak, but after the situation, i saw that it expired 9/25/25. I bought it on the 18th, so 7 days before expiration.

You would usually think of a grocery outlet as poorly run, dirty, things stolen, not well organized but that is not the case for this one
Very clean, organized, actually have enough employees on staff! Love walking down and grabbing quick things

My siblings have been waiting on this location to open. It's practically next door to them. It's a smaller venue but they manage to pack it with most items you'd be looking for. Unfortunately I stopped by an hour before it closed, but I did manage to find what I was looking for. I am glad they are the new neighborhood store.
