Decent, but not the greatest.

This review is specifically for grooming services.
The groomer gave my doodle a buzz cut. She doesn’t look like the same dog. I had already paid before I saw her, and was completely weirded out by what the groomer had done. When I dropped her off, I requested a teddy bear cut for her face and a tail trim. She usually sees the groomer every 6 weeks, but I went a bit longer than usual due to our cross country move. I know she did have some matting in a few places because I’d gone 10 weeks instead, and the groomer told me it might have to be a “start over haircut.” I didn’t realize she was going to shave off all of her tail and her face and ears as well as the rest of her body. I guess my idea and her idea of “start over” was dramatically different.
I have used Petco in Mount Vernon, WA and in Little Rock, AR for nearly 5 years. I have never had this issue before.
My opinion of the situation is that it boiled down to laziness and shortcuts, literally. I could have done that cut in my backyard myself rather than paying $130 for it (and that’s with a 20% vital care discount.) I will NEVER bring my dogs here again. What a disappointment.

Overall, it's a great store. There are tons of food and accessories to choose from to give your fur babies or fish and reptile kiddos.
One downside is the amount of space in the store. If you are like me and need to buy a lot of food and use a cart, be prepared to ding or squeeze through crowded isles.

Great customer service! The kids and I were driving from an hour away so we called to check if they had a particular product. The local Petco stores did not have any in stock. They kindly confirmed and asked if they could put it aside for me, which was great. When we finally arrived, staff were friendly and helpful, and checkout went smoothly. Although we were not in the store long, those brief points of contact with staff left a very positive impression with us. Well worth the drive - price, product, and service wise!

I came to find some items for my dog. I was greeted by the employees. I am visually impaired and the employees helped me find what I needed. They showed me lots of options. As someone with a disability life is already hard enough so I very much appreciated the young man who walked me around the store and helped me. For once I didn't feel like I was a bother and I truly appreciate this. The young lady at the register politely and quickly handled a return I had and rang up the items I had picked out. I was having a bad day and left the store with a smile. Sometimes just being treated with that little bit of kindness can make a difference in someone's life. Thank you.
