Sad that the upkeep on the outside is not taken care of and looks run down. I think this is the only post office that closes its lobby in the evening and not open on Saturday's. Wish more pride was taken.

We weren’t receiving our mail because the new delivery driver said our “mailbox wasn’t high enough”. I recently had a baby and now I’m jumping through obstacles just get her social security card so I can get her on my health insurance. I’m beyond livid.

Prior to going to the oak harbor location I tried to ship a package to Canada from the coupeville location. I spent 1.5 hours at the coupeville location and filled out the customs forms the employees asked me to fill out. Finally when it is my turn the employees told me they "don't know what to do" and strongly advised me to go to freeland or oak harbor location.
I drive to oak harbor location and two more employees don't know what to do. They tell me to fill out PS Form 2976-R, PS Form 6182, global express usps form. They then don't know how to fill out their portion of the form and they keep kicking me to the back of the line and having other people go infront of me. One of the workers even refused to help me and said he didn't know what to do. He ignored me and called for the next person in line and smirked.
Finally a woman from the back came to the front and attempted to help. I thought all was going to work. She told me I didn't even need to fill out some of the forms and the other employees were mistaken. I finally paid and left. Between both usps locations this took nearly 3 hours.
This was two days ago. Now I see the package "failed" to deliver and the story is so unbelievable the buyer for my package is questioning the authenticity of the story. There is no explanation of what happened where the mistake was made or any reconciliation. I am out the several hundred dollar shipping cost and they apparently attempted to deliver the package to me today but I wasn't there. No explanation, or notification. I have no idea where the package is now. Nobody knows what to do.
This was a very expensive item and all the addresses were filled out correctly on my end. Something is seriously wrong with usps. Several of the employees in the back seemed like they were under the influence. The workers in the front clearly had no training on shipping a package internationally to Canada. Horrible experience and not my first bad experience.

Absolutely the worst postal service I’ve ever worked with. The workers are not friendly at all and more useless than a toddler. Apparently the phones there don’t work or else they would have answered one of the 100 times I’ve called. Highly recommend you just use FedEx. They are much better than this office.

Got a notice said delivery attempted today at 1:45, was told please go to local USPS to pick up package, thought to myself strange, so i called the USPS after 15mins on the phone (automated thanks) was told to go pick up at local store where it gave me the address, walked into the store was told this was a common "problem" and there was nothing he could do (i will not put out his name) tall slender older man he proceded to tell me he could check for it, he walked around aimlessley (yes i could see him) hands in his pockets "looked". So moral of the story is the store is still failing to put in any effort to better its reviews and help its integrity as a buisness for a civil service, i dont like doing reviews because i left the store empty handed and 45 mins wasted for a simple common "problem" that no one has probly ever heard of thank you for the time wasted and i hope this review is actualy reviewed by someone in the USPS that cares to try and better this store. They realy need the help by the looks of the other reviews on this store. After this review my packages will probly end up with more common "problems"

This post office has to be the worst I have ever been to in terms of customer service.I have personally witnessed both the older white man, and especially the older asian man be absolutely disrespectful to the customers. There is no reason to talk to people in such a condescending manner. Management needs to address this issue promptly. Recommend take your business elsewhere to the max extent possible.

We have a camera doorbell and numerous times have seen the mailman just stick a missed delivery notice on the door and leave, doesn't wait or knock. I've reported it and they don't care. I have to take time out of my day to wait in line and get treated rudely to get my package. I've also scheduled a redelivery for the next day and it never came, sat there for 2 more days till they decided to deliver again, to leave a notice on my door and run back to the truck. You seriously drive to my house but can't ring the doorbell or knock, or wait a few moments to answer. No, they want to waste your time more and make you go there just to to stand in line and be treated horribly. No repercussions for their actions so they just keep doing it. Worst experience with my mail ever.

This post office absolutely cannot handle the size of city it is in. They are so stacked with mail they can't even find presents I'd ordered for delivery on the 4th of December and it's currently the 16th. All we get is "there's not enough space or employees, we're working on getting through our backlog." On top of that, they're not open at all on Saturdays unlike any city I've ever lived in. We either need a second post office or they need a complete overhaul.

I’m applying for a passport for my newborn, and just had my second appointment in a row cancelled. Friday 8th and Monday 11th Dec. Got a phone call Friday but none today. The post office is severely understaffed so they don’t currently have staff to cover passport appointments, even though you can book them online. Instead of here I recommend booking your passport appointment at the The Senior Center in Oak Harbor or the public library in Anacortes. 4 stars because I like all the staff here!
