This was a truly awful experience all around, service and food included. We were told there was going to be a 30-40 minute wait which was fine with us and our name was put on a list. We then watched multiple people come in (parties of the same size or larger) and get sat immediately, despite not being on the waiting list. After a little over an hour we were sat and spent another 25 minutes without silverware or drinks except water. 20 more minutes after we ordered our server came back and told us that they were actually out of a main that we had ordered and we had to choose something else. The food itself once we did get it was exceptionally bad. The spring greens were just large stems with a couple leaves and an egg that was half rock hard and half raw. The potatoes were completely raw despite being tiny, and the tofu scramble had no flavor at all. The cheddar biscuits weren't horrible when they were properly cooked, but one was extremely burnt and dry as sand. None came with butter. All of the other eggs were flat and overcooked. Overall we felt extremely unwelcome from the moment we arrived and should have simply left sooner, but we unfortunately thought our experience would improve. I would recommend staying as far away from here as possible and not wasting your money.

I don’t know what happened the night we came here, but this was one of the absolute worst dining experiences we’ve ever had. When we left, we told ourselves we just made $150 donation to a small business. We made reservations, but when we got there, it was pretty empty. The chicken we ordered had zero flavor, the risotto was cold and the only part of the meal that we actually felt ok about was the nut and olive appetizer. We didn’t end up eating much of our food (we are foodies so this isn’t normal). Our drinks were extremely weak. Everything was sooo expensive. It really felt like they ran out of food, it was so odd. This was the one expensive dinner we wanted to have, so for it to be so disappointing, especially with all the other good reviews, was shocking to say the least. We came here February 2023 and this experience has stuck with us ever since. I finally decided to write a review. I wish we would’ve said something that night, but it felt super awkward. We almost called to speak to a manager or owner or something the next day, but we just left it. But all other mediocre restaurant experiences we’ve had since then are by far better than the meal we had here. Our server was very nice though, so I’ll give them that.

Perfect spot for breakfast/dinner/snack with a delicious menu, great options for plant-based folks, and incredible coffee + tea curation. Front of house manager, Evan, was welcoming, warm, knowledgeable. Truly made our stay at Doe Bay that much better!Dietary restrictions: Vegan, vegetarian

Very unique place to eat. Spent a day at this lovely resort when I went to visit my cousin who was a chef here. The vegetables are fresh and they have a beautiful place where they grow their vegetables and the eggs come from the chickens that they have on the land. Love the edible ?. The food is very creative and delicious.

Fraud & Theft BEWARE!!!!We stayed here 2/20/24 the brunette working that evening stole $60 from us. We were staying at Doe Bay to rehab my Achilles. We let her know we had a 20% off voucher she made us walk back to our room to get the voucher handed it to her to pay and she did not give us the 20% off AND because of the terribly rude experience and inconsiderate behavior I did NOT Tip. The total I wrote into the receipt was $151.21 she added $30 to the bill charging my account $181.21. So not only did she make me walk in my injured foot for a voucher she didn’t apply the voucher AND then decided to charge my account money that was not authorized!!! This place use to be a magical experience where we would come to disconnect from the city and heal our souls. Since we were ROBBED I did not feel comfortable eating breakfast or dinner there during the rest of our stay. I’m shocked and hate to say we will never return because of this awful selfishness and dishonestyBEWARE!!!!

Ooof, high dollar, three scallops. A curious experience that left something to be desired. I love the resort though! It makes up for it. The staff was friendly and beverages delicious. Staying in a sweet little cabin and using the spa deck makes for an incredible time, especially in Winter months.

Amazing. I just popped in for a quick stop and had the Chiabatta which was freshly baked, with amazing oil. Nutted.

Perfectly perfect. Even gluten free waffles are on the menu!!! Do you know how rare that is? Coffees are great, eggs, homemade jam even, the setting the ambiance, the service. Nothing can come close.

Immensely lovely. The food is incredible. I had a seasonal burrata and I want to eat it every day. Our waiter was friendly and attentive, and thanked us at the end of the meal for making his first week end on a high note. If you're staying at Doe Bay, a meal at the cafe is warm, cozy, and delicious.

A must stop when visiting the island. Best breakfast ever. Staff is super. Come for the food and stay for the views. Always make a reservation. The island is small and quaint, that’s the beauty of it. If you want a piece of paradise, call ahead.

After always wanting to visit Doe Bay, we decided that was where we wanted to eat, also live music was starting at 8pm. We got there at 6:30 hoping to eat before enjoying the music, a perfect plan for a couple on a Saturday evening. We arrived at 6:30, there was an empty table outside, at least one empty table inside, and a bar with many available seats, and nobody else waiting before or after us. The man said that he’ll see where he can put us but it may be a wait. We said no problem as this is our only plan for the evening. A minute later he returned and told us that they are at capacity for the evening with no further explanation. No offers for the bar, just simply a no, we’re done.As a restauranteur myself, I could never imagine being so unaccommodating, inhospitable, and unhelpful, especially to people on an island where you are the only restaurant on that particular side.It wasted our plans and 45 minutes of driving on one of only 2 nights on the island. The incompetence of serving people at this establishment is a new level.

The food and drinks were top knotch and exceeded our expectations. The best part of the night, however, was our server.. A special shout out to Rachel, who took such good care of us and gave us the best service we had on Orcas Island. We couldn't recommend this place enough!
