New install of a leased tank went smoothly. Customer service is always excellent and techs coming out for fill ups are both knowledgeable and friendly.

ACME is the Best propane company by far. When our previous propane company (Amerigas) left us in an emergency situation, ACME stepped in and took care of us, including a same-day delivery! We switched over to them and would never switch back.

I was happy with Acme Fuel - great customer service, fast service, good prices, and a local business. Acme Fuel (Pre blue star) deserves 5 starsBut Blue Star Propane is terrible. Costs are significantly higher than competitors, Billing is way more complicated and messy, and they have let our heat run out even though we are on a plan.Switching ownership to Blue Star was a terrible decision for Acme Fuel, but a good decision for their local competitors.

It makes me sad but I am changing my 5 star review from last winter to a 2 star today. Now that Acme is owned by Blue Star, I can no longer recommend them. Did you know that they offer a 2% discount for prompt pay, BUT you don't get that discount if you use an autopay feature which pays them immediately? To get the discount I would have to take my accounts off auto pay, figure the discount and pay manually each month. And then if I pay by credit card they will charge me a 3% convenience fee. (Certainly not for MY convenience.) Blue Star has told me several times over the past 6 months or so that they are working to change the auto pay problem - but I no longer believe they are telling me the truth. Sorry - I thought Acme was great but Blue Star does not seem to have the same business integrity.Thank you, Acme, for checking our propane level during this cold snap -- and for plowing out our drive with your fuel truck! We appreciate the help!

I just wanted yo give a shout out for the help I received from Seth in the downtown Olympia location. I came in with a bunch of questions and needed some information to move forward on a project. Seth was great in helping me learn more about what I was getting into, possible solutions to the problems and multiple ways of moving forward.Thanks Seth for your knowledge!

I have been a customer since 2007. However, recently Acme sold their residential propane delivery and billing service to Blue Star, a out of state company. The switchover occurred during this last December 2021 cold spell and the timing could not have been worse. I and others did not receive our propane on time, and my tank dropped down to 10%. As propane is my primary source of heat, I did not heat my home above 60 degrees inside while the outside temperature was hovering around or below freezing. Finally Blue Star arrived, and after filling the 120 gallon tank, dropped off a bill for 276$. The bill did not include the Acme "Discounted rate if pay early" but instead had lots of nasty language about fees if not paid within 10 days. I immediately tried to pay it, but Acme and Blue Star had not set up a payment system! Acme told me to wait for the bill in the mail. When I received it, I immediately called and paid it over the phone. I also cancelled our account, and switched to Peak Propane which I understood had lower rates, better service and was a local company. I thought everything was over. Not so. Two days later I received ANOTHER BILL from Blue Star, this time with those finance charges! Acme - you were good. Blue Star - you are horrible. Go away.

Acme Fuel has given me GREAT SERVICE for about 20 years now!!!! They always "show up" at just the right time and keep me topped off, no matter what the weather or time of year. Good prices and a prompt payment discount, too! Alway pleasant and great home-town friendly customer service. Sad to see you've sold the business and I wish the staff and owners all the best. You've been an Olympia ICON for almost a HUNDRED YEARS and will be missed! THANK YOU FOR ALL THE GREAT SERVICE over the many years. <3

We ran out of propane in our RV while at Summit Lake and at the time it wasn’t possible to break camp and drive into town. Mike was very helpful, despite my giving them such short notice, he got me set up for next day delivery service and was very helpful. Thanks Acme!

These folks are amazing. I ran out of Propane and had no home heat, my previous supplier Fxxxxx Wanted almost double want these guys wanted and they actually answered the phone and were concerned about my situation. So other guys 2x price and 10% of customer service, ethos guys rock and they are local. Support local first.

Supposed to show up between 8 and noon. Noon came and went. No shows. Called the office. "Oh they got held up on another job. They'll be there in another few hours." Nice of them to let us know!!!! We sit around and wait for them to show and they dont even bother to let us know they'll be late. NICE! Customer Service. Makes me feel real positive about hiring the. to install my propane tank!!! Off to a terrible start ACME!!!!!!!

After getting screwed over by AmeriGas who charged us over $4 a gallon for our last propane delivery, we decided to make a switch. Got distracted by life and found our tank was completely empty on a Sunday afternoon. Emailed ACME and by 9 am Monday they were out with an emergency partial fill to tide us over until they can come back to swap out our tank in a couple of weeks. Oh, and did I mention no charge for the visit? I love doing business with small local companies who work hard to keep their customers' loyalty. I'll update this review once our new tank is installed.
