A really good place to stay if touring downtown Olympia. Comfortable rooms and a in-hotel bar make it convenient to come and go and visit the captial city in comfort.

The Hotel overbooked their reservations and since I booked 3rd party my reservation wasn’t honored and I ended up staying 15 minutes away.

Great location with free street parking on the weekend
Walkability: Easy walk to the farmers market and waterfront. The capitol grounds are nearby as well.

I recently stayed at the DoubleTree by the Waterfront in Olympia, Washington, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with a few areas for improvement.
First, the service was excellent—very friendly and accommodating. From check-in to check-out, the staff were welcoming and made me feel valued as a guest. Their helpfulness was one of the highlights of my stay.
The room itself was spacious and comfortable, offering plenty of room to move around and relax. I appreciated the larger size, as it made for a more comfortable and enjoyable stay.
However, I did notice that the cleanliness of the room could have been better, particularly in the bathroom. The toilet wasn't fully cleaned, which was a bit disappointing. Attention to detail in the cleaning process would have made the stay even better.
Overall, it's a good hotel with excellent service and large rooms, but improving the cleanliness would elevate the experience.
Walkability: To restaurants & the waterfront

I recently worked with Kasee Palmer at the Olympia Doubletree to organize a room block for a group of nearly 30 people. Kasee was pleasant and communicative, and even helped point me to Olympia's parking permit website when I was looking at options for parking our tour bus. Great location, too.

Very nice hotel in a great location. The staff is friendly and helpful and works hard to provide an excellent experience for guests. The rooms were immaculate. As a celiac, I appreciated the gluten free cookies upon check-in, and gluten free bread and muffins with the breakfast buffet. We stay at a LOT of Hilton hotels, and this is the only one that has been so conscientious about dietary issues. The only drawback is the Fitness Center. It is extremely small, with limited equipment and space to work out, and is the only space in the hotel that seemed a little neglected. But other than that, our stay was fabulous.

Over priced for what you get
You have to pay for wifi and parking and they don't do continental breakfast or anything. The pool is down. I canceled my booking right after making it, my mistake even though it was way before my dates they didn't even waive the cancelation fee like the sites says. So in all it's a huge rip off.
Lots of bed bugs! Read the reviews people!

Truly a terrible experience - woke up with over a dozen bug bites the next morning. Very overpriced ($200+/night.) Really needs a general renovation. Couldn't use the Internet the whole time as their computer system was down. Very few open parking stalls. It felt very dirty and smelled (mold in the shower.) . I was offered cookies and asked if they had sugar free and answered "yes", well ...read the ingredients yourself. Absolutely nothing special at all. I was still charged and would never stay with this chain again. You have terrible management.
Edit: Don't know why they stated in response they "cannot find" my reservation as I have received an email from Justin Carithers, Asst. GM dated 6/25/24, additionally I challenged the charge on my credit card for not providing a safe/clean service which they charged me for again upon a decision (6/30.) Also - wow - what a price increase from over $200 to $90 (current.)

This reviews comes from the perspective of a married pair of mid 30s with no kids.
We decided to come down to Olympia for the weekend and stayed here at the DoubleTree in the Historic District.
We chose this particular Hilton over the one south, because we wanted walking access to the old town, the capital, and the waterfront. In that regard, the location was stellar. Plenty of parks to walk to, activities to engage in (arcades, stores and the permanent farmers market), and good food to partake of. Would absolutely pick this hotel again for the location alone. Why not 5 stars for the location then? Cause the parking lot is small, and I could see it absolutely impossible to park in the busy season; and the view of the nearby area is mehhhh... Lot of taller buildings in the way. Not really their fault, but worth noting.
The inside of the hotel is fine. Fine. It's neither the most elegant nor the most run down. The rooms are, again, fine. They aren't bougie luxury by any stretch, but we had the single King room with couch, and it had good sized space with the standard hotel amenities. The bathroom left something to be desired... As it was just kinda a basic small shower. The decor was also dated and bare bones. Nothing terrible, nothing great - fine.
Lastly, the service was stellar. The people were always helpful, kind, and friendly. Plenty of cookies up front too! The hotel restaurant was also really good for breakfast, with a standard hotel buffet meal, but at a really great price considering where we are at.
Overall , solid 4 stars here. Great location, fine enough rooms, and impeccable staff. I'd come here again.

BEWARE: This hotel does not wash bedding. I discovered a smelly poop stain on the blanket. Do not stay here! This hotel needs to be inspected by the health department ASAP. I’ll be filing a formal complaint with the Washington State Department of Health.
Rooms: Feces in bedding
