I've been a longtime customer and have always received great service. My dad died leaving behind a huge stack of savings bonds. The bank's policy is to not cash savings bonds for a decedent, even with letters testamentary from a court. It appears to be a widespread problem with banks so Heritage is apparently not alone. Other than that, I have no complaints.

If you are wrongfully ticked, confronted, or verbally attacked by Diamond Parking employees while parked in front of a "Heritage Customer Parking Only" sign, do not take the issue into the bank. They can and will do nothing about it. You will be informed that though the signs are up and you were legally parked, they do not own the signs. Diamond Parking does. So if one of their attendants has a bad day and tickets you illegally while you are in the bank for 3 minutes doing business, they can't stop them. I know, sounds crazy. But that's the way it is.

They wouldn’t exchange a $10 bill for a roll of quarters because I wasn’t a member. Wells Fargo did it no problem though! Way to go!

Heritage Bank= human beings. I feel so heard, so understood, and so respected at these branches. Ann at the Freeland branch, and Janet at the Langley branch were so helpful with my various banking challenges. Banking and money management can be awkward and super vulnerable, and the souls at these branches are just that- full of soul and help me with kindness and understanding.

I paid off my Ford F-150, using the calculated amount on line. A month later I was told I owe $2.75, which I sent as a check because there was no way to pay that small amount off. My title was held for 5 weeks due to a $00.01 (1 cent) discrepancy. On top of that they charge me $35.50 title transfer fee after I paid them thousands in interest. DO NOT USE THIS BANK!

heritagebanknw has a slogan "Managing your money has never been easier." This is especially true if you have no access to it. Family member travelling abroad and tries to be proactive by going in to the branch before the trip to advise Heritage Bank employees of her travel plans. You'd think all would be fine until several days into your trip you card is not working. Use the online application to confirm plenty of money in account so you call Customer Service (I use that term very loosely). Let them know.......AGAIN........that travelling abroad and advise them about "proactive" trip into branch before trip. They say that they will handle it. Couple of days later and card still not working so call again. So this is a trip to the branch and now two calls..........while on vacation (thanks, Heritage Bank). Now for the first time she is told about a 3rd party provider and their 800 number to call. Could one of the so-called Customer Service Reps have advised of this............maybe even on her visit to the branch. Well of course not......that would have been far too easy. Nice work, Heritage Bank, you are well on your way to fulfilling your goal of being WaMu II...........By the way, how did that work for them? Don't have to go far, just ask the current leadership of this "Community" bank.

Staff is always very friendly and helpful. No Saturday hours which is sometimes an issue. The people here make it worth while.
