The first room we were given had a used condom on the floor. We were given a new room, which had stink bugs in it. Overall worn down and uncared for property.Rooms: The rooms are basic and a bit older. Nothing special.

The hotel looks nice. Went for a company event but I've never staying. It was buitiful inside, the location is a quiet ticked away place. Staff seemed very nice.Nearby activities: There's a park nearby, good trails to walk or run. The hotel is within a short drive to a lot of downtown businesses and shopping.Walkability: Not a lot of businesses within walking distance but they do have a restaurant and bar, food smelled good.

The front desk staff seemed stuffy and just kind of upidy. Except the one older lady who was really nice. The furnitures pretty beat up but the rooms are big and clean.Food & drinks: They do have a restaurant.

This pace gets a 4 because it was dated and not the fanciest but it served its purpose. I was on the 2nd floor and it looked like my bathroom had been remodeled in the last couple years so that was good. Staff was great. Location is secluded and quiet.

We love staying here. Very nice accommodations and atmosphere. The staff are always courteous, kind, and go out of their way to be helpful.

This hotel needs a total renovation beginning at the front door. It is indeed dated and old. There is not much you can write about what is good except the staff in the breakfast area. They are the only delights. The rooms are large and not well furnished. Reception leaves a lot to be desired. We went there once and will not return again with any luck.

"While my stay at the Olympia Hotel on Capital Lake had its positive aspects, I must admit that overall, I found the experience to be disappointing. The hotel's physical condition left much to be desired. Scuffs marred the walls, and an unpleasant odor, reminiscent of urine, permeated the air. The cracked grout and missing chunks from the popcorn ceiling added to the lackluster ambiance.Furthermore, the thin walls provided no sound insulation, allowing every noise from the neighboring room to infiltrate my space, disturbing my rest until the early hours of the morning, even as late as 3:30 AM. Additionally, the issue of smoke from adjacent guests' outdoor activities seeping into my room was a significant inconvenience. On a positive note, the linens provided were acceptable in quality, ensuring a decent level of comfort during the night. I also appreciated the pleasant demeanor of the staff member with whom I interacted; their professionalism and courtesy were noteworthy. In summary, while the hotel staff demonstrated commendable service, the disappointing physical condition of the hotel and the disturbances from neighboring guests significantly detracted from what could have been a more enjoyable stay."

Placed in old tall trees, the Olympia Hotel is a sanctuary. The staff was great, the facility was not. You can expect older style decor, but in the public areas, the wear of time and many visitors was evident. Stained and worn carpet, less than polished elevators and ice machines. It wasn't horrible, but it needs some refreshing for certain. The included breakfast was offered for 20 bucks during the online reservation (through IHG), but it could have been bought alacart for 12. Scrambled eggs, potatoes, sausage, and bacon is the menu. There is an option for pancakes. The food was ok, the coffee served was excellent! It met my needs, felt comfortable and the staff was great.

We were there for an event my daughter had planned. They're remodeling rooms and halls, but we were there for the weekend, and there was no noise. Other than having a patron smoking pot in one of the rooms in the quad, which the staff took care of immediately, we had a good stay. All the staff were courteous and friendly. The beds were really comfortable.

A great experience with our bulldog nationals! A minor issue in restaurant, think some stuff were overwhelmed, but all staff were wonderful! Want to thank Alynn at the front desk for helping us check out with a great attitude!! We appreciate it and will definitely be back again.Food & drinks: Great food! I think some of the wait staff were overwhelmed with our large group. But overall great food and drink!Noteworthy details: Beautiful setting and pet friendly! A great place!!

Don't stay here. The area has so many better options. The room wasn't clean, the stairwell carpet wasn't clean, there was mildew on the grout in the shower, the window was single pane and lacked a screen, etc. The staff are attempting to take care of the guests, but the property ownership isn't taking care of the building. Oh, and there's no complimentary breakfast.

This place has a lot of potential. But maintenance is poor. The rooms themselves seem decently clean but anything from the front desk to the room is run down, smells, and dirty. None of the three ice machines I saw were working. Got to our room with a pile of sheets just sitting in front of the door. As you drive in, people living in their cars all along the road. One car outside of our room looked like someone was living there.three stars because it’s at least somewhat appropriately priced at $100/night.

My room was ready even though they gave me my key. The house keeping manager came and made it right. The beds were comfortable. The toilette was not secure to the floor. I guess we got what we paid for.

Hotel location is lovely, if you're in a room that has a view. The front desk person was quite nice. The ground floor entrance doors were difficult to open, especially with luggage/packages. There is no directional signage, so locating my room was a challenge. The sleeping room itself was tidy, but with no convenient plugs for electrical by the bed or couch. The rug in my room had a turned up edge, creating a trip hazard. The bathroom showed a real need for remodeling, especially between the tub and toilet where there were signs of peeling paint. There are no grab bars in the tub area, which is a big safety issue for me. There was also a used towel left behind hanging over the shower bar. There were no ice machines on the floor, at least not nearby or indicated.I had requested a balcony room and was very disappointed to be on the ground floor. I didn't feel safe there.
