Ordered a 2-piece toilet from Lowe's and only received half and that half was broken in the box. Spent over three hours on the phone getting Lowe's to correct their mistake. Would like to bill them for my time! Will stay clear of Lowe's in the future.

Having never been at Lowe’s, I was unsure of where things would be. I had to pick something up and the staff helped immediately. They were kind and helpful.

I ordered about $600 worth of lumber I wanted to have delivered after Memorial Day. Chose Monday, June 3 as delivery day. Paid with gift card purchased by person for whom I was going to do the deck work. Lowe's promised contact by Sunday before to provide delivery time window. No delivery time window provided in advance. Monday morning, they asserted delivery between 11 am and 5 pm. When 11 am passed, it was 1 pm to 5 pm. Then around 3 pm they called giving out a story that their one truck driver was stuck in Seattle traffic, and he was going home at 3:30 anyway, so they would not be able to deliver. I declined offer of being put on a list for a potential Thursday delivery. Instead I canceled and asked for refund. Lowe's refused and only gave me store credit which is a slap in the face after their incompetence. So, I headed to Home Depot, placed same order of $600 of lumber at 4 pm. They delivered today, the next day, around 9 am. Easy peasy. Lowe's person who approved the refund into store credit tried to tell me whoever told me excuses on the phone was wrong and they have delivery trucks and delivery people all over. So, basically they can't get even get their stories straight and I was right in immediately moving my order to Home Depot. I was not about to wait around until they figured it all out. I only opted for delivery for convenience as the Olympia Lowe's can't seem to have adequate flat carts and lumber carts to put purchases on. Something so basic. Should have been an alert. After I finish the project, I will go in and see if I can get Lowe's to give me a cash refund or at least a gift card refund, rather than the store credit which is restricted to in store use only. Can't use for ordering over phone or online, for example. Apparently it is Lowe's way of rubbing salt into the wound. Speaking of salt, maybe the Lowe's management at the Olympia store can take a whiff of smelling salts to wake up. Starting with having enough carts at the store, or getting orders placed May 22 delivered by June 3. Or at least laminate a card with more credible excuses that they can read to a customer. UPDATE: Lowe's replied by asking me to call a number to resolve the issue. Waste of time and effort as the number was some call center person essentially just saying sorry for the inconvenience but not able to resolve issue and Lowe's refund is store credit only. Never buying gift cards from Lowe's again. And never agreeing to gift cards as way to get materials. Because when Lowe's fails to deliver, literally, Lowe's won't give a refund via a gift card back. Only store credit where they assure added inconvenience of having to go into store in person to spend with them. Adding salt to the injury. Can't do a phone order or on-line order. And definitely won't give a cash refund to be done with doing business with Lowe's.

I had a great experience at this store last eve. With employee Kelvin as he was on the money with service and thoroughness. My refrigerator went kaput so we went to two nearby home depos with zero luck on buying one, then walmart no dice. We arrive at Lowes Olympia (60 miles from my home) at 940PM, the crew was already closing some doors and cleaning up the parking lot. We enter, go to the appliance dept and there are three good models. I flag down an employee with "customer service" on her vest, seems pretty smart, I ask her if she was a manager she says, I only have a week on the job, but she calls another guy who knew his stuff but says we only have 14 minutes and he checks the last floor model and volia there are three in stock. He takes off for parts unknown never to be seen again. Then Kelvin arrives, I show him the floor unit, he scans and goes to the stock area and he is moving with a purpose. I hear dollys a movin, he got it. He goes right to the nearest checkout comuter, I mention I am not interested in the extended warranty, he explains the 48hr return policy, he also stated regarding stand up vs laying down the fridge relative to a 24 hr wait. We complete the transaction. Kelvin very carefully manuvers the load to the front of the store, I bring the truck over and another employee helped get it on the truck. We're set. Kelvin definitely exhibited excellent customer service on a tight deadline, this made our experience at Lowes quite memorable and valuable.

Limited on certain products. Great for new projects. Just sometimes hard to find replacement part or items.

I just like Lowe's and will drive further to go to one of these instead of the Depot. They are always friendly and helpful and they have enough employees around to make it easy to find someone when you need that expertise.

Ridiculous the Romex Wire is locked up. Because of general theft every customer is inconvenienced of buying a $50 roll of wire. If you wonder why your wire sales are down 50% .
