I mean, it’s a grocery store. Has pretty much everything that you would need. Parking lots a little difficult but not bad. Produce is decent.

Don’t order grocery pick up from this store. I showed up a full 15 mins after getting the text saying it is ready and it was not ready at all. After waiting 20 mins, some lady yelled at me for “showing up too early”. When I explained I got a text saying it was ready she said “no you didn’t”. When I showed her the text she said “you don’t understand.”
I’m honesty perplexed as to how crazy this interaction was. Needless to say, I won’t be shopping there again.

Happy to see more check stands open. I'm glad that they are hiring people to work at the check outs. Thank you Safeway for helping the community with jobs to help the people that don't want to be homeless. They can be able to support their families.

Went in to get generic Affrin, there is no option at this store, just the most expensive one. My local Safeway has the option? Other Safeways also have options to choose from. There wasn't a price tag on the shelf to justify if it was sold out. I asked the pharmacist, he said that was it. His priority was shutting down for lunch. I went to Walmart 1 minute away $2.99
The Affrin if I went with Safeway was $10.99 definitely worth going a minute away...

I have shopped at this safeway since moving to Lacey, but in recent months, the quality has gone down noticably. Produce quality is notably degraded, and it's not unusual to find rotten fruit in the fruit bin. Strawberries in particular seem to be a struggle for this location.
Two things really have bothered me and are the last straw on my tolerance: first, the fresh fruit bowls of pre-cut fruit. Finding EXTREMELY moldy strawberries in a pre-made spinach salad (dated as made that same day) tells me that the store doesn't particularly care about the quality they are selling. Second, I bought a cake Monday evening to have for a surprise luncheon. Imagine my surprise in the morning when the boston cream cake I bought turns out to be moldy! Perhaps I should have checked the $17 cake a little more carefully, but I know this didn't happen in just the 12 hours between 7pm and 7 am.
I encourage you to seek another location for any of your fruit, veggie or baked good needs.

Only one tiny always locked bathroom, as always with Safeway, employees don't care. Must be why the store always smells like piss outside.

Josh front service manager helped me a great deal tonight by going back to the bakery a getting a special order from for the extra large cupcake I needed to pick up tomorrow for my son's 6th birthday. I really appreciate his help and going the extra mile. Thank you so much and I will most definitely be using your services in the future. ??#happy customer

We usually buy our dog food from here but not anymore after what happened! They sell expired dog food! There should not be any reason for me to check expiration date, but oh well. My dogs had explosive diarrhea for 2 days!

I don't know how this location has a 4.1 rating. It's probably from older reviews. I will mention the rudest, nastiest employee I've ever encountered at a Safeway - April.
This location is now overrun by homeless drug addicts that Olympia moved into the forme Hawk's Prairie Day's Inn motel, and now it's called Maple Court, and that cost taxpayers 24 million dollars. Crime is out of control. Surveillance systems in every parking lot. The prices here are higher than every grocery store in the area. Almost never anything on sale anymore.
The store is dirty, and they have two bathrooms in the Starbucks area that are used frequently for drug use or employees that are too lazy to use the employee restrooms. I don't know who uses the unlocked restrooms more. Drug addicts or employees. Super high employee turnover. Diminished quality. Price gouging. Do not shop here. Go to Costco or WinCo.

Most of the Safeway pharmacies give great customer service. The Marvin Road store did not today. They were out of the RX I needed, which I understand. It was how they treated me which was the problem. They did not say hello, no eye contact, demanded information like a robot, told me they were out. Call another store. Which I did. The other store really wanted to talk to them, but again, robotic behavior. Nothing humanizing. It’s demoralizing to be treated like “nothing”.
The other store was nice on the phone, I could tell they were busy but they still were cordial. I am sure the staff don’t care about this review either. Too bad. We are all here because we are people and matter.
