I was recommended to take my truck to this shop from my tow truck driver and he had nothing but awesome things to say including their prices compared to other shops. The shop found stuff to fix and the communication was great. I was told it would be done on the 3rd so I called that afternoon when I didn’t hear back from them and being closed the next few days I was getting nervous as I need this truck to do my deliveries. My total was being worked up and they’d call me back to discuss some of the suspension work we had talked about. I didn’t hear back for a couple of hours and it was getting really close to when they’d close for the holiday so I called. They gave me the total and said it was done, gave me the information about how they could achieve the suspension work in a way that was different from my usual shop and that I could come pick up the truck. I left right away and made it there just in time before they closed to find out there is a 4% fee on debit card transactions. It was an extra 100$
I’m a laborer and this is a lot of money on top of an already expensive bill.
The mechanic did apologize for not telling me about it, and I also didn’t see it anywhere at the shop or on any of the paperwork I filled out. I know they work hard, and are very busy, and it was right before the holiday.
I didn’t have a choice though and I should have. They didn’t tell me the truck was completed or give me the total that allowed me enough time to get cash to avoid the extra 100$ charge. It would be good business practice to make sure customers are informed as they’re already putting a lot of trust in you to keep their vehicles in good working order and be transparent.

Small buisness, owner operator here. With a very full and booked schedule I broke down on the side of I-5. Naturally started freaking out and calling my clients. Reached out to sound truck and auto. I was towed and repaired within 24 hours, will be returning to work tomorrow.
That said, upon picking up my vehicle, I was privileged to meet the owner and some of their crew. As a fellow tradesman I can tell you, these guys are the old school type. Willing to get dirty, take pride in their work, go the extra mile, do what it takes to get the job done, reasonable pricing, customer service and customer relations. Traits in a shop you almost never see these days anymore. My opinion, ditch the corporate shops when and where you can, when you can find a small gem like this in 2024, you stick with them. 5 star, highly recommend.
You won't be disappointed.

Had my truck towed here because the electric power steering rack went out he got it in and found the problem quickly and put a new rack and pinion. he told me to take it and have a wheel alignment which I knew it was going to have to and he doesn’t have a alignment tools to do it so today I took it to south beach towing and auto repair and I told them the truck was wondering all over the road when they got under the truck and the rack hadn’t been tightened down but finger tight and the torque spec is like 200 ft pounds I would have given them five stars till this was found this is a huge mistake that could have cost me my life or my wife’s lifeService: Steering & suspension repair

Bill is the Best honest mechanic in the area. He treated me way better than Nissan Olympia regrading service and advice also Reasonable price and he does not charge you hidden fee. My commute car been treated here very well regularly. Always nice to talk with him as well.

Scheduled my son's Chevy truck for a maintenance catch-up, but a few days before my appointment, it was broken into and the catalytic converter was stolen. Bill let us have it towed to Sound Auto & Truck even though our scheduled appointment was still in the future. Got it back today, fixed and ready to roll. Great bunch of guys! Professional and knowledgeable. Bill pointed out some things that aren't a problem at this time, but to keep an eye on. Probably the best experience I have had at a car repair shop. I recommend them very highly.

We were just starting out on a long trip in our 5th wheel and our truck wouldn’t start one morning. Calling the dealership was unhelpful as they would have made us wait up to a week to even get it looked at. I called and talked to Bill at Sound Auto and Truck and he said he would prioritize our issue since it was an emergency! Imagine that.They got us fixed up and back on the road the next day. Couldn’t be happier with their service and I’d recommend them as one of the best around.
