I drive an hour, skipping other lumber yards just to shop here for my cedar. These guys are always helpful and friendly, and IMO they have the best prices!

This place has been horrible to work with as a contractor. After years, we are done. I am done.
Why: Finance department is a nightmare and downright disrespectful.
No technology, gotta phone in and mistakes are always.
Always pushing galved hardware with cedar? Why?
Pricing isn't great.
Quality is a mixed bag on wood.
40$ palet charges.
They didn't seem to value us as customers and were going to try Bayview or a couple companies in Tacoma.
No reason to stick around. Charging us over 1000 on tax without telling us they needed a new resellers permit and then refusing to refund was our final straw. Terrible communication and rude to us, just bringing them 10s of thousands a year.
UPDATE: Bayview was nice and welcoming. Setting up another up north.
Bayview prices are lower as well.

I’m an amateur guy trying to learn to do more DIY projects at my home and was hesitant to go to a lumber yard and look dumb, but the guys at Tangewilde were patient, helpful, and showed me a few different products in the yard and explained pros/cons of each and how they’d work out with my budget. They inspected each piece before I loaded it. Good prices, too. Would go back for sure.

Quick, succinct quotes. Straightforward process.
We needed to special order OSB. It came in the day after we paid in store. They delivered that same day. A 1 day turnaround. Thank you Tim and Jeff!

Tanglewilde is my first - and usually only - stop for lumber. Despite their name, you should know they have other building products too. It's usually less expensive than the chain home improvement stores, but their high lumber quality makes this place a no-brainer. This team's boards are STRAIGHT. When they're not, you'll probably never know, because they've got great attention to detail when pulling what you need.
Framing material, decking, posts ... whatever I need, this is where I go. Contractor or DIYer, give them a shot. You'll be glad you did!
