“Days 8 to 12 of our road trip were spent in my happy place, Sun Cove Resort on beautiful Wannacut Lake. We travel all the way from Southern California to this magical place because there truly is nowhere else like it. This trip was especially meaningful as we celebrated my dad’s 80th birthday in a place that has been part of our family’s story for over 40 years. I’ve been bringing my own kids here for the past 21 years, creating a new generation of memories with family and friends. If you’re looking for a hidden gem, this is it. Nestled along the largely untouched shoreline of Wannacut Lake, a rare natural Epsom Salt Lake and one of only a few in the world, Sun Cove offers crystal clear water, incredible fishing, boating, swimming, paddleboarding, and peaceful relaxation. The historic log cabins, RV sites, and campsites make it the perfect place to unplug, reconnect with nature, and make lifelong memories. A special thank you to the new owners, Tiara and Karim, for preserving the magic that has made this place so special while thoughtfully investing in its future.
