My partner and I are on holiday in Packwood and we stumbled upon this shop... and we're so happy we did!The shop is so beautifully put together with interesting and modern trinkets/souvenirs. The inviting and cozy aesthetic is complimented by the extremely kind and helpful shop owner (and dog).We honestly don't want to fly home tomorrow to the UK because of how charming and amazing Packwood is. This small town truly is a gem in the US.

This store is a treasure. Bargain hunters and cheapskates will cringe, but anyone with good design and aesthetic sensibilities who appreciates thoughtful curation will find plenty of things to love about this place—and just as many things to buy.

One to best shops out there! It's the perfect place to get a gift for anyone and of course something for yourself :) There are new items every time I go in, which I LOVE. The shop dog is a huge plus, he's the sweetest thing.

Awesome store with a fantastic vibe of old and new PNW Gear! Love this shop. Every time my family and I venture to Packwood we love checking out what is new. Oh and as a Dad/Husband I love the beer selection. Thank you guys for a great experience!

I went to this shop several times and noticed all their stuff is from the east coast. There are so many amazing local makers in that area. I enjoy going to them for local gifts. I don't see this shop caring about local artists. If I wanted to give New York money for a souvenir made in China, I could just go to Walmart.

Went into this place thinking there would be a lot of locally made products from Washington but I was completely disappointed. Lots of stuff from other places. Most of their stuff was way over priced. Seems like a couple from California trying to be cool in Washington.

Terrible experience at the Packwood Mercantile with whoever was running the front counter. My 4 year old son and I were browsing in the shop; I was looking at sweatshirts and he was looking at the (overpriced) huckleberry kids products, merely 3 feet away from me. I could see the saleswoman's expression from where I was standing, who clearly was expressing disdain as she raised her eyes at my child who was quietly exploring the small children's area. As I put the item I was about to purchase back and grabbed his hand to exit the store, I peeked over my shoulder as she clearly followed us with her eyes out the store with the same look of contempt. And yeah, I absolutely flipped her the bird. The best part was that she had the audacity to approach me after we exited the store, acting as though she was too immersed in the scarce inventory to even notice us

Stayed in Packwood for a few days, and the owners were more than accommodating. They made us feel welcomed in their community and gave us a lot of insight of what to do here. The shop had a lot of local flare and their dog Deacon made it feel comfortable. Definitely recommend stopping by here if your staying or passing through Packwood.

I've been shopping at Packwood Mercantile repeatedly for the last 3 years and didn't mind paying more for out of state items because the customer service was great, the curation was on point, and they have the cutest bathroom ever full of incredible vintage artwork. Unfortunately, after Labor Day at the semi annual swap meet I won't be returning to this shop because I now fear the owner. There was a lack of public restrooms that day and I knew they had one so I planned to go in, buy something, use the restroom, and leave. I ended up buying over $60 and purchased 2 alcoholic beverages. Didn't know they sold such. They had the inside bathrooms closed to customers. Not sure why, but they said they had a Porta potty I could use. Then they took my driver's license in exchange for a key and didn't explain the bathroom outside was on the side, not by the food they served out back. It was a padlock key. When I got done, there was a group of people together waiting for the restroom. They had no idea it was only for paying customers as there was no sign. I was then out in the awkward position of having a key and padlock with a group of nice people looking at me with desperation while doing the potty dance. I decided to negotiate by telling them the policy. One of them said he would gladly go inside with me to buy stuff while his group if friends went the restroom. We went inside together and they talked to staff at the door. Then they got in line to buy stuff. All good, right? Wrong. I asked the owner at the cash register for my license and she freaked out. She actually raised her voice at me and ran off without even listening. Then she came and found me in their beer garden out back and yelled at me some more about how dare I because it cost her $600 to rent the portal potty. I honestly feared she'd hit me. She made a spectacle in front of her customers and begrudgingly gave me back my license as if she was doing me a favor. It's illegal to keep someone's government ID like this. I don't know what's wrong with her, but I know I will never feel safe going there again. That group purchased a ton of items and returned the key like they promised. I basically brought this owner business and she publicly humiliated me in exchange.
