I honestly had a pretty good experience with Alamo. I drove from Washington state to Florida and the pricing was good, I was given a 2020 vehicle and the one way drop fee was super reasonable. The only reason I didn’t give them 5 stars was because I didn’t get the exact vehicle I wanted (though what I received was considered equivalent), and the oil change light came on once I got into Idaho (literally only a couple hundred miles). Clearly the car needed one before it was rented. But, I had no issues, so overall I had a really good rental experience.

If you're elite at all don't count on getting any type of upgrade as they try to sell it to you. Really not worth the trouble and why list what you have in profile if still going to try to get you to buy something. Come on already. Stop the nonsense!!!

Don't waste your time with this place. If you're experience is anything like mine, you will be lied to just to up-sale so they make more money. When you question it after returning the car you'll get an answer such as "you signed and initialed for it!" I've left 3 messages, 2 include speaking with someone and being promised a callback with 24 hours. It's been 48 hours and I'm still waiting.

Worst experience renting a car. First car didn't have rear left tail lights. It was easy to get a different car. Unfortunately it had not been washed and was filthy. The low air indicators were on and I was told it was due to cold weather. I gave it 20 minutes on the road called Hertz let them know the indicators were still on. They said not to worry they had added air that morning. I took the car directly to Les Schwab and all four tires needed air. So much for customer service or safety for customers from Hertz. Returned the car and it took over 45 minutes to return the car(Avis in the next stall had four customers come and go while I tried to return a car). Tried to do the Hertz survey and the numbers needed to take the survey were not valid. Cannot recommend them on any level-run do not walk to another car rental company.

I rented a car in another State. I purchased insurance and had an incident. So I went to Hertz in Tri Cities airport. I was told there would be no difference in my rental agreement. When I returned the car in redlands California, it took an hour due to confusion with rental agreement. End result is Hertz in Tri Cities over charged me 168.00. They have yet to resolve this with me. It has been 2 months. I get no help from anyone because this particular Hertz is a franchise! I have called everyone I can with NO help. I guess this is how Hertz makes money, stealing from customers!

I rented a compact car for one day. I brought in hours late. I was charged for 2 full days at $89 per day (for a compact) unbelievable. I paid for the gas fill up. The total was $270 for a compact rental for 1 day and 4 hours, and that did not include their insurance!! What a rip off. Called to see if they would adjust based on pure unreasonableness. Nope, that's the way their system is, is what I was told. stay away from this place.

I walked over after having issues from Enterprise booking. Tried to gat a car. The rude young man didn't speak. He just shook his head no and brushed me off with his look of disgust for me. How Hertz itself has not heard they will now.

Pretty bad. My fiancé and I booked a car for my parents to come out to our wedding, using American Airlines rewards. Through some technicalities - they couldn't pick it up and my folks got stranded ten hours away and unable to make the road trip. Alamo corporate says we lose our payment and they can't refund us. Ridiculous.
