It's been a year since i've last been to this place after my last encounter and i can say that not one bit has changed. This place needs to be shutdown immediately after many parvo outbreaks, stolen animals, and bad costumer serivce.

Volunteers and staff here all have giant hearts of gold. They are doing wonderfully big things for our furry friends, in just a tiny outdated facility. Hats off to everyone at TCAS!???⬛

In all cities there is an animal shelter. The tri-cities animal shelter in Pasco was built in the 1950's so the condition of the building isn't prestigious. However, they made it possible to provide such a large amount of animals access to all the needs they may have. There are huge dog walks to which each dog has two long walks a day. Cats get their play time and human snuggles. They take absolute seriousness in the comfort of their furry visitors and take precautions against parvo, kennel cough, and other common shelter illnesses.I could go on about how above and beyond these volunteers and staff members care for their tenants. Can't wait for the new shelter to be built soon! Please volunteer! Dogs need to be walked, cats need to be held and they can always use the help with some cleaning. If you're down one day, take your favorite doggo for a good half hour stroll.

THIS PLACE STOLE MY DOG!! I called several times to check and see if they had picked up any dog that resembled mine (an 18 year old poodle that has a hard time seeing or hearing. He never wondered off so this was out of the ordinary for him to leave my house) to which they repeatedly told me no. I called back a week later and I was told that they did in fact have my dog but he was already adopted out to someone who volunteered at the shelter and that it wouldn't be a problem to get him back because it was a mistake that they told me they didn't have him when I called several times earlier. When I got down to the shelter I was told by a very rude lady at the counter that the volunteer that adopted my dog changed their mind about giving him back to me because " they fell in love with him" and that he had been there for 2 weeks and not claimed so there was nothing that could be done. This was a complete lie! From the time he went missing to the time I was in the shelter to retrieve him it had only been 11 days. I called at least 5 times in those 11 days and was told that no poodles had been picked up. How is it that they claimed he was there for 2 weeks before they adopted him out? It was a complete conspiracy to keep my dog based on who i was because they had had contact with me before regarding a pitbull mix pup that I have that my neighbors kept calling in about because they are biased about the breed, even though he is the sweetest most well tempered dog of any breed I've ever seen in my life.. They were disgruntled because of people in my neighborhood so they just kept my dog who I've had by my side for 18 years! This was not a mistake, it was done out of spite and now my old boy doesn't get to cross the rainbow bridge with his family, he is with strangers and doesn't know why we suddenly disappeared. I'm completely heartbroken and so are my children. WHO WOULD KEEP AN OLD DOG FROM THEIR OWNER JUST TO BE SPITEFUL? This place needs to be investigated. They lie to people about if they have found certain animals and then they adopt within the faculty. It is not right.

We adopted our cat from here. They make sure the cats are safely handled and taken care of. When we lost his vaccination record not long after adopting we called and they sent them back over to us quickly.

Great place to adopt a cat or dog. Friendly, helpful staff, and ease of the process. I recommend Tri-Cities Animal Shelter.
