I went into town for an oil change. Due to an accident I was directed back south. I stopped in at Rudy's and their staff was fantastic and were able to get my truck squared away. They pointed out additional parts to have fixed. I cannot thank them enough for all their help, speedy service, and fantastic price. I'm absolutely making this my go to place for oil changes.

I took my 2000 gmc sierra to rudys to have my oil leaks fixed, rear main seal and oil pan gasket.
Brittany recommended I replace the cam sensor since the transmission would be out even though I didnt need a cam sensor but I agreed, paid $2100.
After they were done I stopped at the gas station on my way home to get gas and my truck wouldnt restart. Turn key off then back on and it started, now its 50/50 wether it's gonna start or not. I took it back to rudys for a diagnostic that i paid for and they said everything was reading as it should but they replaced the cam sensor with another (from napa)since it was under warranty. Still not fixed, I called and asked Carly if I bought an OEM cam sensor if they would install it and Carly said no and became very rude and defensive on the phone, Carly insisted that my truck is supposed to have a chip key and they think that's what the problem is so I called ruddell dealership to inquire about a new key and the dealer said the 2000 gmc sierra didnt have a chip key. I called rudys back and told Carly what the dealer said and Carly said the dealer is wrong. Sorry I believe the dealer and now I'm stuck with a broke truck, if they recommend replacing a part you dont need, dont let them do it. Brittany is very nice and helpful but carly is very defensive and rude.
Update: I replaced my cam sensor with OEM ac Delco from the dealership and it fixed my starting issue. Sometimes vehicles dont respond well to aftermarket parts, Especially when they are electronic.
I hate to leave a one star review because Brittany was great to deal with and did a great job with my oil leaks I just wish they took the possibility that some vehicles just dont like aftermarket parts more seriously, as a mechanic im sure they know that. One thing I want to note is that when carly told me they dont install customer provided parts when I asked if they would install a dealer provided OEM cam sensor, I recommended they order the part from the dealer so it's not customer provided and Carly said no we wont do that either.

If you want an honest mechanic then I highly recommend Rudy’s they provide an extensive breakdown of what’s wrong and the cost associated with a realistic time frame for the work to be completed.
I read some of the other reviews and laughed as when have you heard of any mechanic shop using customers part, that would be a huge liability on the shop.

Took my truck in for waterpump and timing belt replacement. I had purchased the parts prior as I was going to do it myself. Decided to have someone else do it. My parts are brand new sealed in plasticstraight from NAPA. They would only work on my vehicle if I purchased the parts from them. I really didn't want to spend another $460 dollars on brand new parts that i already have. Was told to go some where else. Must be nice to have so much business that you turn people away.
