Shadow Mountain RV Park Campground is under new management, which is working to improve everything. It offers great tent camping sites and consistent full hookups with amazing mountain and Lake Sutherland views. The general store is stocked with last-minute items and the coffee is great. The staff provides stellar, super friendly, and helpful customer service. The location is closest to Olympic National Park, just steps away, and near Lake Crescent, hiking, and Port Angeles. Some notes mention that certain sites can be next to a noisy highway and that bathroom facilities have been a concern, though the shower area has been remodeled.
James up front is the bees knees! Super knowledgeable about the area, and the property. After filling up with fuel, 4 ice cream cones, we pulled out and seen the sign for smoked salmon….had to pop back in for for some of the best local, smoked salmon we’ve had in the PNW.

We’ve been stopping in their store for years. They have huge ice cream cones, excellent service, a nice bathroom, and they filled my old Chevy’s leaky water tank for free.
