Well organized bookstore with a pleasant atmosphere. Local artists' work all around, comfy chairs to peruse books in, nice little cafe in the back. Knowledgeable staff to assist if you need help. Just an all-around nice place to be!

Books, a Harry Potter themed coffee & tea shop, and now there's even baked goods to buy here, made by Martina (she's a local baker. Look her up on Facebook.)I don't really read much anymore, but their selection's alright and the guys running the place are nice.I want to say as of the time I'm writing this, they're the only place you can buy coffee and tea in the mall, too.

A great little book shop that is a bit hard to find. I came here for a book fair and when I arrived at the strip mall where it’s located I had no idea where it was. Fortunately the name gave some clues as I looked for an outside staircase. If you go through these doors you will be on the first floor of a mall. The bookstore is on that floor closer to the Goodwill. It’s a nice little bookstore with a coffee shop and some tables to sit and read. I would definitely go back.

Lovely little gem tucked away in an otherwise unremarkable mall. Simple, but clean, with a variety of fun gift items. I don't know if this is just me, but I love finding book stores in odd places. Gives me strong magical adventure vibes.

I love this place! It's an incredible small-owned bookstore that I've been to with my local friends. I love supporting organizations that just let kids be kids. I can't wait to go back, and I love all the community events they do to support their own local community. 10/10!

This shop is a good example of why small bookstores are still relevant. Large enough to be substantial, small enough to be cozy, with a great staff and magnificently welcoming decor, it offers the grab-a-tea-and-explore-the-shelves experience that turns a shop into a destination.

Everyone is so friendly every time I go in, and you can really tell they love their store! They have a great selection of books, and a great coffee and sitting area, too.

Cool little store with a nice selection of books. Cafe in the back to grab a coffee while you browse or read. Had a chance to chat with the owner who was very friendly and welcoming. Location is a bit odd tucked inside a mall that's going through some things, but it seems like they're working on it. Look forward to stopping in again.

One of my new favorite places! The owner is so friendly and helpful, and also makes a great cup of coffee! I love that they have a chess set, and I can’t wait to check out one of the workshops!

While I always love a small, independent bookstore, the location of this one was somewhat awkward, as it's tucked away in an old, neglected building, which at the time of my visit, was eerily empty. The bookstore space itself is not altogether unpleasant, and you can definitely tell that the owners are attempting to add more inventory and character. However, it's still a work in progress, and in the meantime, the selection is pretty limited and the organization and pricing a bit confusing.I was also disappointed to find that a book I ordered from the store (because they didn't have it in stock), was not available for pick-up at the time the store owner communicated it would be - and was actually on back order - leaving me in the lurch for a course assignment which required the book. Since I had to call them (versus them contacting me) to find out this information, my already conflicted feelings about the store were certainly not improved. Overall, I was a bit disappointed with my initial experiences with this bookstore, but I am still glad the option exists (and I'm hopeful it will improve with time).Pro-Tip: One really positive thing about this bookstore is that it sells new and used books, and you can actually trade-in your previously read books at this location for store credit!

A hidden treasure, under the stairs! The “Bookshop under the Stairs” is hidden away in the Town Center Mall in Port Orchard. Owner, Terry Heath has created a special space for book lovers and coffee drinkers under the stairs at this soon-to-be refurbished mall across from South Kitsap High School. The book store contains a great collection of new and gently used books of all genres. Works by local artists adorn the walls. Cosy corners with period furniture encourage readers to sit and browse. You can buy nice selection of freshly brewed coffee at the 9 3/4 cafe situated in the back. This is great place for an intimate chat with a good friend or to peruse the books and read a chapter while indulging in a Pepermint Latte and a light pastryA great find.
