Worst haircut I've ever had. The lady didn't speak good enough English for me to communicate what I wanted or even to suggest something for me. Looks like a 10 year old cut my hair and my bangs are too short and uneven. Won't waste my time or money here again.

This is the second time I took my toddler son to Melody. I had to leave a review. I felt compelled to based on how fantastic, professional, talented and kind Melody is. I have taken my son to one of those fancy toddler salons but he ended up screaming for 40 minutes. I took my son to Melody again because two for two zero tears and a great haircut again! I am a regular customer at the Port Orchard, Wa facility and wanted to convey that today I saw the staff handle a very difficult and disgruntled client with grace and class, I cannot remember names but the manger did a fabulous job with the interaction, I felt the clients behavior was completely inappropriate and I expressed that too the client as well.
All the employees of the salon went above and beyond and was very pleased with my service, very happy with my hair cut as well.

I would not and will not ever recommend going here if you’re a man! My husband and his friend just went today and both know how to describe the length and style their looking for and have gone to several other places and received quality service but after a awful first and now second cut here I can officially say they do not understand cutting short hair

Worst haircut I've ever had!!
I (used to) have long long hair that covered the entire length of my back, and I wanted a change. Awhile back I got an undercut put in, because my long hair was pretty hot on my neck. After awhile, I got tired of the upkeep, so I grew the undercut back out. I also had botched face framing layers in the front, so I grew those out too, so both my face framing layers and the undercut were shoulder length. I wanted to get everything evened out, and have my face framing bangs redone, so they'd be formed the correct way, and sit right on my face.
I checked in online, it was a 20 minute wait, so not too bad, and drove to the location. I went inside, told them my name. Two stylists were open, and one was with a client. One of the open stylists was doing laundry, so the 3rd one came from the back to get me seated.
First thing I noticed, was that her station was COVERED in hair that was not cleaned yet, the guards in the container were all covered and the floor was too, but the seat was cleaned off. "No big deal" I thought, they must have just finished a rush, it's Saturday after all. She sat me down, and asked about what I wanted. I told her to cut the lengths to match the grown out undercut, trim the ends of the under cut, and cut some face framing layers. I told her I didn't know if I wanted straight bangs or not yet, and that she could decide. I also showed her some references with similar hair textures with the styles I wanted. She said I should go ahead with the bangs, and said that she could do it.
She starts combining my hair, and I ask her to save the hair so I could donate it, so she leaves and comes back with elastics. With NO sectioning AT ALL, she starts putting my hair in elastics and does the big chop. Then she starts cutting to make it even, but it's as though she never even LOOKED at the under cut hair, and just starts cutting without a guide, on DRY hair. She then moves onto the front. She starts spraying water for the bangs, and she cuts it with a razor blade. I tell her to start lower, and cut higher, instead of starting at the brows, because I like them longer. When she's done, there's a piece in the middle that's longer than the rest, so I ask her to fix it. She did not seem happy about that, so I let her move on and she goes to the face framing layers. She sprays again, gets some water on my face, but apologizes. I say it's ok, the hair is in the face, you're gonna spray the face. Then she cuts them. After she finishes, I tell her they're a little choppy, and I ask her to blend them a little. She says "sure, I can texture them a little" she picks up thinning shears, and just lifts my hair and starts hacking. I was mortified. She cut out CHUNKS with the thinning shears with no direction. When she finishes, I smile and say it's all good, and I pay and leave. I tipped her $15 cash, because I felt bad, and I ran out as fast as I could.
My hair was RUINED. It was jagged, she didn't even touch my under cut, so it was LONGER than the ends she cut, and it was so uneven on each side.
I immediately went to sports clips, and Stacey there fixed my hair. The two stylists at sports clips were mortified when they saw my hair. One of them, used to work at this location, and knew Laurie personally, and said "it sounds like her" so this stylist is known for her shoddy work. The ex Great clips employee that now works at sports clips told me they had unrealistic expectations at this location where they don't want the client in the seat longer than 12-15 minutes and time in between clients must be 2 minutes. Laurie was clearly more focused on meeting the time standard than giving me a proper cut, and the lack of time and effort she put in shows. I will never be going back, and this place needs some heavy turn around. It was dirty, understaffed, and these girls need their licenses reevalua

The first and only time I ever had to shave my head because the haircut was that bad. Asked for a simple low skin fade and was in that chair for over an hour with a woman who did not know what she was doing. Would not recommend
