BACKGROUND: I called the store and spoke to Es about purchasing a specific color acrylic latex paint that my deck planking supplier's tech rep would closely match the deck plank color. He wanted to know what the "line" of paint was (this question demonstrates product knowledge). I replied I didn't know, and that I would check with the tech rep and get back to him. The tech rep later said any acrylic latex paint would perform well. I went to the store, and Es mixed a quart of the specific color for me. Upon applying the paint to a scrap planking piece, I discovered that the color match was slightly off. I returned to the store with the paint quart and the sample, and showed it to Es. He volunteered (at no extra charge) to experiment with the color to obtain a better match, and would call me when it was ready. Es called the next day to advise me it was ready. I picked it up the next day, and the match on the scrap piece is almost exact!!!!!!POSITIVES: Customer service by Es was truly WORLD CLASS. He was friendly, patient, professional, accommodating, informative, helpful, and competent. A truly delightful experience. I would give him more stars if I could.NEGATIVES: Not a one.

I had a very unfortunate experience at this location. I needed a paint matched. I Originally went Lowes, but the match wasn't close. Lowes happily let me return it. I have had great experiences with the Mount Vernon Shirwin-Williams, so I took my small paint sample in to them. It took them 45 minutes to an hour make the match, which is no problem. The staff who waited on me, painted part of my small sample with the new paint. It looked good to me, so I took it home. However, it was too far off from matching. I took it back hoping that they could adjust it to match better. I took the original sample, and cut out a larger sample from my wall, thinking it might make it easier for them to match. The first thing the staff member said when I showed him my original sample (which the original staff member had painted with the paint they had mixed) and the larger sample is "that's a different color" which of course it was, due to the original staff painting part of my first sample.This time it was over an hour and 1/2 to match it. I went to pick up the paint, and was told they would only charge me 1/2 price for this can of paint, since they were not able to adjust the paint I had just purchased and had to start all over again with a fresh can. (I had already paid full price for the original can)He said the first sample I brought in was not a good sample, and started asking where I had cut it from. I asked why the original staff person didn't just tell me it wasn't a good enough sample to match from. He started saying that there was some debate about one sample having possibly some sheen to it and the other was flat. I felt like he thought I was trying to get something more than what I paid for. I was still in doubt about the match, and was concerned about what might happen if it didn't match either, so I said "Thank you" and left the store.I was just trying to see if they could match some paint. I wonder why the first staff member didn't just tell me they needed a better sample, and why when they realized that they could not adjust the original can that I paid for, that they didn't call me to tell me it would cost me half as much more, before starting with a fresh can of paint. I understand they need to make money, and they say they do the best they can to take care of customers.It just makes me sad to think how all of this could have been avoided.

We had many questions about the correct way to proceed with painting our home. We have cedar siding currently with a semi transparent stain, we attempted to get answers on line but the confusion just mounted. Jackson, the store manager in Port Orchard and Kevin the paint rep actually came to our home to assess the best way to proceed. They offered their expertise on proceeding with either a solid stain or a paint. They also offered product recommendations as well. Now that we had a clear understanding of the processes for staining or painting the decision was much simpler. I have always had good experiences at Sherwin Williams, but this experience was well above and beyond.

I'm finally fed up with lousy customer service at Lowe's, so I decided to give Sherwin-Williams a try. Best move ever. The customer service is outstanding and prompt, and the quality of paint is first rate. Highly recommended!

Had to leave a review as soon as I got home! The assistant manager Aidan made this Sherwin Williams store an absolute delight to shop at. Even though there were multiple customers in the store close to closing, he took the time and effort to make sure we were all taken care of and all our needs were met. I was so impressed by his ability to bounce from customer to customer, but not making any of us feel rushed, he cared about each of our projects and made expert recommendations to make sure each of us was setup for success. Thank you Aidan for your excellent customer service and for just being a great guy!

I've used the PO store for the past 3 years and the staff has been consistently friendly, helpful and efficient. They are my go-to paint store even though the Gig Harbor store is closer.

In the past I have had to spend a bit of time waiting, so I decided to order online this time. The experience was so easy, and when I needed advice I called the store and they were so helpful. The employee, Es, went above and beyond to help me by giving reccomendations and working quickly to fulfill my order with a positive attitude.

Aidan seemed flustered by previous people he was helping and couldn't find the wood stain I know it was in the system so we had to make another trip for the same stain. The other staff I encountered from previous times were really helpful...next time, I will wait for the other staff.
