“Whenever I go to Port Townsend, I always visit Northwind Gallery where there is always something of interest. I went this last time to visit a painting that I’d seen before, but was still on the fence about. Sandra, who had been a great help in the past, was there that day and she said that she thought the painting I liked look particularly good with another one by the same artist. She hung them both on the wall for me and something just clicked and I knew immediately I had to have both paintings. The two are now hanging on a wall with a third painting that I also bought from the gallery when Sandra was there.
Last year she helped me surprise my sister with a painting, which was a little bit tricky as my sister was in the gallery at the time! Very knowledgeable and the ultimate professional, never a hard sell, but just thoughtful, and clearly understands art. She’s more than half the reason that the gallery is always on my list. I have purchased things from some of the other people who work at the gallery, but never felt as warm and welcomed as when I deal with Sandra.
I highly recommend this gallery and you’ll be lucky to go on a day when Sandra is there!”

“I've been a long time patron of Forest Gems, always making sure to stop in whenever I visit family in Port Townsend (before Forest Gems moved to Port Hadlock). Now that we've moved out of state my husband ordered me a necklace this year for my birthday, Forest Gems went above and beyond for us with the delivery. I truly can't recommend these folks enough, they're very kind people and clearly love what they do. Very unique and beautiful craftsmanship, if you've never been in their store you're missing out. “Had a small, but nice time in this Gallery. There was no one but myself and my friend in the gallery along with (who I presume was) the owner who was sitting behind a counter. She politely told us that there were some pieces also upstairs, so we went up to look. All the pieces were wonderful, but pricey since they were all hand crafted. I bought a pair of earrings that were crafted by a native artist and had a nice conversation with the owner about how I live in a state that is basically on fire. It was a nice experienceThe only thing I didn't get to ask but wanted to was whether any money made at the gallery was going toward native tribes or to help native causes. It's just something I was curious of”

“Excellent cooperative art gallery! Lots of fine works that are well arranged and reasonably priced (for art). Your choice of paintings, jewelry, sculpture, wood prints, photography, etc. The artist of the day was Phil and he was very knowledgeable and helpful. I came away with an interesting print (redacted photography by Tom Saknit) and a couple of nice cards by Stephanie Johnson.”
