Wonderful owners, delicious breakfast, and close proximity to everything there is to see and do in Port Townsend. Won’t be our last time visiting!

The perfect romantic weekend getaway from Seattle, can't recommend this place enough. It was so beautiful and situated in the perfect location (close enough to town to walk, but out of the way enough to relax). Breakfast was delicious and everyone we met at the property was so kind. We needed a couple of things during our stay, an iron and toothpaste, and they were brought to us so quickly. Truly a one of a kind experience and worth every penny!

We thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night stay. Our room was very clean, quiet and quaint. Bed was comfortable. Loved the tower clock across the street chiming on the hour. The hosts even provided earplugs if needed. Last but not least, breakfast was excellent. Not Your regular cafe food. I loved the eggs with salmon and the eggs Benedict. Definitely would stay again in the future.

Wonderful experience! We stayed in the Tower Room with a sitting area overlooking the lighthouse grounds and a view of the water. In the morning we watched deer grazing and wandering the beach. The amazing breakfast was 3 courses including dessert to start your day. I highly recommend staying here for any visit!

A lovely historic home in Port Townsend. The hosts are gracious, and the breakfast was lovely. I truly appreciated the accommodations for food allergies. We stayed in the tower room and had a gorgeous view of the Sound from our bed. Do not hesitate to stay here -- you will not be disappointed.

Had a wonderful stay for 2 nights. We were up on the 3rd floor with a great view of the water. Cozy room with cookies left for us when we checked in. Fantastic 3-course breakfast that we couldn't finish as we were stuffed. Beautiful house in true Victorian fashion and the game room in the basement was fun to see. Would definitely come back again.

Very cozy B&B with great breakfast. We stayed in a cozy charming attic room and I slept so well! Fun to hang out in the parlor and basement game room.

I had the most wonderful 2-night stay in the 3rd floor Tower Suite. The 3-course breakfast was 5 star and eliminated the need for lunch! The Inn is elegant, well kept and offers every amenity you could need. The pool table offered a fun after-dinner activity.

Stayed at the old Consulate inn over May long weekend with my daughter. We had the most amazing time. Every detail was beautiful inside and out. The owner was extremely gracious and the food for breakfast was delicious. Will definitely be coming back for another stay.

No better way to spend lodging dollars in Port Townsend. Have I tried other places in Port Townsend? Will I? Probably not!
Old Consulate Inn has history, and character, and breakfast, served by lovely characters! This place exudes kindness and attention to the comfortable details.
The Skipper’s Nest was cozy and - aside from the electricity and running water - felt like a room from another time.
The grounds were so peaceful, a perfect place to kick back, sketch, and fall asleep on a spring afternoon. Waking up to birdsong and the wind rustling through the trees, it was easy to feel the whimsical spirit of this special place.
We also loved the location. It’s uphill from the “hustle and bustle” of downtown (note: no hustlers or hustlers as far as I could tell), which makes for a nice walk back after gorging on the delicious food offerings of P-Town.

Wonderful hospitality at The Old Consulate Inn. Homemade cookies awaited us upon our arrival. Delicious homemade breakfast every morning at 9am in the dining room was a treat. It was some of the best food we enjoyed in Port Townsend. The king size bed was comfortable with an ample amount of pillows and comforters. The large en suite bath had a soaking tub, shower, and small makeup table/dressing area. The room and bathroom were very clean and had plenty of drawers and cupboards for clothing and toiletries. Outside it was quiet with lovely gardens, and porch swings for enjoying vistas of the water. I withheld one small star for the room rating, because although the rooms were very clean and comfortable, our room could have benefited from a bit of updating. But this was a small matter, easily overlooked when one considered the charm of both the locale and the innkeepers themselves. It was a delightful stay.
Rooms: Room was ample and comfortable with an en suite bathroom and a sitting room.
Nearby activities: Nearby activities are too many to mention, but the farmers market is within walking distance. Pickleball courts are in the park next door. Other activities include sailing, beach walking, Fort Worden, kayaking, shopping, restaurant dining, and even high royal tea at Cafe Tenby, and more.
Safety: The area was quiet and peaceful and felt very safe, but still in close proximity to downtown Port Townsend.
Walkability: One can walk to the nearby farmers market on Saturdays in Uptown.
Food & drinks: Delicious, ample, homemade breakfast each morning in the dining room.
Noteworthy details: Public Pickleball courts in the park next to the inn.
