I am thrilled with the Sun Seeker recumbent tricycle that I purchased at PT Cyclery. Bob, the owner, not only sold me the trike but talked to me about safety, brakes, gears, helmets and more. Bob went above and beyond to make sure I was prepared to bike safely and with confidence after many decades of not riding a bicycle. Bob is a stand-up guy and is also a wealth of information about all things relating to bicycling. Whether you are a local or a visiter to Port Townsend, do yourself a favor and visit PT Cyclery. You will not be disappointed.

Bob went above and beyond to accommodate us on a Sundayn when the business was closed. His phone contact was posted on the door and within an hour we were on our way to a gorgeous bike route. Excellent service and route recommendation!

Bob is so awesome. Shipped my bike to him, he put it together, got me a rack on and worked with me on a pick up time. I went back with my friend, and she bought a “previously enjoyed cycle”. Friendly, nice people. Good people.

The posts that Bob is amazing are so very true! We've been dealing with PT Cyclery for a couple of yearsFrom him being the master mechanic for a run in XWA to him updating my bike so it is AMAZING to ride, Bob's energy and knowledge and love of bikes is second to none that's for sure!I never realized how much goes into it, but my Trek is a million times easier to ride.He really asks how you ride and will put tons of thought into the project that no amount of money can truly compensate for!!

Bob and Donald saved my bike trip to the Olympic Peninsula! Within the same day, they did and awesome job tuning my rear derailleur and brakes on a new bike I had been having shifting problems with. Excellent conversation, too. Thank you!

Bob's shop is a classic, along with many of his amazing bikes. We've rented great hybrid models twice now, and both times the experience was smooth and painless. He's left the bikes for us to pick up after hours, is flexible on return dates, and the bikes are tuned to perfection. Bob is super knowledgeable about the entire area, so use him as a resource. We rented for a week and rode the ODT and all over Whidbey. And the price is very fair. Highly recommend, we'll be back!!

I owe my Sunday out with my partner to PTC! We drove 2 hours to Port Townsend, and my bike tire had an issue that we couldn't resolve with our small tool kits. So the owner drove in on his day off and let me borrow a wheel! It saved our weekend plans, and allowed me to enjoy the sunny day, biking around town.I can't thank them enough for extending such a nice gesture!

My husband and I visited Port Townsend in late August. We wanted to rent a couple of bikes to ride on the American Discovery Trail. I called P.T. Cyclery and spoke to Bob. They were actually closed on the day we wanted to rent bikes, but Bob locked them up outside the shop so we could go on a bike ride. He also was very helpful in telling where to ride the bikes and places to eat. We actually told him that we were going to Olympic National Park, and he also gave us some great suggestions for hikes. I highly recommend this shop. Bob was so helpful too.

Wow! Knowledgeable, courteous and a fun little "Hole-in-wall" one stop shop!!! It can be a challenge to find, but once you're there, you quickly understand it's worth the adventure.This place is 100% dedicated to customer satisfaction. No pressure to sell you what you don't need but rather do what the customer requests. What a novel concept!?!! My son is autistic and has inner ear balance challenges and cannot ride a bicycle. His sister surprised him with a trike. It needed tuning and PT Cyclery not only did the job, but made every effort to follow up and wanted us to understand the functioning of the shimano gearing system and its limitations. I strongly endorse PT CYCLERY for anyone who needs bicycle repairs, etc.

My daughter and I rented a tandem from this shop during our few days in PT and it was a real highlight of the trip. Bob was in constant contact to make sure we got the right bike and that he could be at the shop when we arrived in town. The bike was perfect and in good shape for waht turned out to be an extra rainy June. He gave us all kinds of great recommendations about places to go and has even stayed in contact since we left. Really great guy and we're very happy that we (somewhat randomly) chose this place.

I was hopeful for getting good service but after paying a premium fee for a complete overhaul of my bike, I noticed dirt still on pivot points that should have been cleaned, the fork boots were just as they were when I took it in, one on and one off the fork. On my first ride on single track the back wheel came off!The head light I was sold must have sat around for years because the plastic was so brittle the mounting strap snapped in half. I will not be back

PT Cyclery represents the best of the independent bike shop tradition, skilled technicians, great service and concern for individual customers. We were visiting from out of town, but if PT Cyclery was in my area it would be my go-to cycle shop. We rented bikes and both of us felt like the bikes we rented were tuned up better than our bikes at home that had been recently serviced. The shop is a little bit hard to find, so be sure to get good directions. We have rented in other places where the bikes all looked brand new but didn't have as good of a rental experience as we had at PT Cyclery. Definitely recommend this shop for rentals.
