Reservation made weeks in advance switched by U-Haul the day before my move. Lot full of trucks and trailers but told they weren’t for me. Only recourse was to call 1 800 #. Staff was dismissive and uncaring. Had to pick up equipment over an hour away. That equipment then broke down before the narrows bridge. Stuck all night with truck fully loaded and blown transmission. Truck ended up getting towed. Had to unload entire truck the next day and reload onto different truck in Auburn. Save yourself the trouble and avoid U-Haul. They run the equipment till it breaks. Preventative maintenance seems minimal as the truck I had apparently had a known transmission leak that was literally taped over according to the roadside mechanic they sent out when I called the roadside assistance number. They rent gear out knowing it is unsafe. Just lucky the tranny didn’t blow on the bridge or the pass. At least there was a bit of road shoulder to pull over. One star is generous.

Easy to make reservation. Easy pickup and easy return. I really appreciate having Port Townsend U-Haul there for my use.

My experience with this U-Haul on two occasions has been outstanding. First rate customer service, and really helpful with details. There were some things that I hadn't used or opened and they were able to take them back without complaint. The price was right and the condition of the truck was first rate.
