The Asian lady at the front should not be in a manager position at all costs. I went to the office and asked that I am going to rent a car on Aug 10th for 2 days ahead. She said the Nissan Altima sedan was available and I agreed. When I pick up the car it is unclean, unsanitaryized, and the exterior looks super gross. Here is the photo and very unprofessional to deal with this kind of people.

If you have another option do not rent here. Understaffed, cars packed in, rude office staff, overcharged. I travel for work, booked a car through corporate travel, and first had to wait for a long time for an agent to come in, then had to come back in and wait for him to be free to move a car out of the way to get my car out of the space. Wasted a good 45 minutes just trying to get a car that should have been ready to go. (Keep in mind I am a gold member here, rent from Hertz all the time). A few hours later I get a call from a woman in the office asking me to return the car because the rental agent "gave me the wrong car". I was already hours away and was on a business trip, traveling to another city and was not going to turn around due to their mistake. I had a family emergency and ended up having to return the car to a different city than the one on the contract and they charged an astronomical fee to do so. My $134 rental turned into $550 for a rental that was 28 hours long, simply because I returned to a different city than was on the contract. I have been renting cars for business for decades and have never had this happen. Since this is a "franchise" location Hertz can do nothing about it. My advice: never rent from Hertz in Pullman if you have another option. Also make sure when you are renting in rural areas that the agency is nationally owned, not franchised if possible or you will have no recourse for situations like this.

Not a good option if you are being funded from outside Pullman. Washington Students Association had reserved the car for us, and they had the credit card number on file, but they need an actual card they can slide when you pick up the car. We ended up paying ourselves, and we will be reimbursed by the Association late, which is not a good option for Graduate Students fighting for their basic needs. In this age of communication and technology, why should we have an actual card to "SLIDE"? Isn't it time to change? You may say safety, but to me it is lack of accessibility. Update your system or you will lose customers.

Worst ever car rental experience. Over charged me said I would get a refund back on card it's been over a week and no refund. You call to ask why they pretty much hung up on you and don't help at all say a supervisor will call you but never get a call. Rude and not helpful. Don't rent a car

I have multiple friends who have worked at this establishment and every. single. one. has quit due to this manager's incompetence. For example, she has called her employees expletives on multiple occasions. Her horrific and abusive treatment of her employees clearly shows in the customer service as well, considering the amount of negative reviews already up. HR has been contacted multiple times (for years), but unfortunately has been negligent and has let this behavior continue. I highly suggest that Hertz takes action against this abusive management style before legal action is taken. Also, the manager could benefit from some Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion training :)

Really unorganized and poor service. Would not come back or recommend to a friend. The boy at the counter, I think his name was Omran if I am correct, was lazy and unfriendly and when I went to the manager for help she was no better. He messed up the car I was supposed to get and the manager blamed me for the issue instead of taking responsibility. I was given so much unnecessary attitude I almost forgot I was the customer and she was the one giving a service. A shame that this establishment is so many peoples first interaction after landing in Pullman!

I’m not sure what to say. When your hours are open, it makes no sense that no one is on site to help customers. It’s especially embarrassing when someone who quit due to incompetent management is also the only helpful person at this business. I don’t know what Hertz is doing, but it seems to me that this location should be under stricter supervision.

Very horrible experience! I rent Hertz car in Pullman airport for one day, and returned back car and car key with paper work in car retuning box on the counter (I marked returning day and exact time on paper work), however they charged me two days! Manager said because their worker didn’t check the returned car and box that day, so they need to charge me two days! What a horrible reason, I never heard of it! I also showed their my airplane ticket (I returned car 11:30am and then I checked in airplane 12:10pm, how can I use their car one more day!), but they still charge me two days! I lived in Pullman 9 years and rent the Pullman airport cars many times from Budgets, it is always good!! Highly recommend to carefully rent from Hertz Pullman avoiding this type of cheating business!

I want to say I NEVER write reviews for anywhere or ever have felt the need. This wasn't my first choice based on the reviews for where to rent a car but the reviews proved true. I rented through insurance which covered everything but I have been harassed with threats of debt collection multiple times because they refuse to work with my insurance and want to bill me directly even after my insurance has paid every bill they send me. All the while only receiving word via "final notices" asking for more money instead of any communication via phone or email first. Baffled at their lack of respect and professionalism. Never again will I rent here and I will never recommend this place.

Rented a car due to it being the best price in Pullman. The car was in excellent shape, modern, looked great, and performed perfectly.

I'm not sure where the negative reviews come from. My experience over my rental plus an extension of 2 days was excellent. Super easy, stress free and a new car

This is the worst rental place I’ve ever felt with. The lady that works there barely speaks English and thinks it’s a good idea to bring her child that doesn’t listen at all to work. Very unprofessional and horrible customer service. My wife booked a pickup time online and now has to wait around for almost an hour for the lady to show up. Do yourself a favor and rent from another company!!

I have rented through Hertz Car Rental in Pullman on numerous occasions and have had nothing but excellent service! Lucy always goes the extra mile to ensure my car renting experience is perfect. If you are looking for a CLEAN rental and excellent customer service, I highly recommend booking through Hertz Pullman!

Made an advanced reservation. Corporate flight crew. No notes that the counter closes for lunch from Noon-2pm. There is a sign that says call for assistance, but the phone number isn’t even complete, as seen in the picture I’ve added. Had to get the number from the Avis counter. Then got a hold of an employees personal number, and was told she was on lunch and wouldn’t be back until 2pm. The manager of this location should be embarrassed and ashamed of the complete lack of customer service, especially on a homecoming Game day for WSU.
