If I could give zero stars, I would. I don't usually post reviews, but I have never in my life been as embarrassed in a store as I was today, at this location. So, here is what happened. 7-11 now offers mobile checkout through the app. I paid for the energy drink I was getting through the app and it specifically says to show the screen to the cashier to let them know the item was paid for. The man working at the counter started arguing with me, saying they didn't do that at that location. When I tried to leave, he starting yelling at me and calling me a thief, even making comments about how I was a bad mom to steal in front of my daughter. I tried numerous times to show him the receipt on the app, but he refused to even look at my phone. There were multiple customers and my 12 year old daughter in the store at the time. I have never been so angry and embarrassed by an employee at a business. I ended up calling 911 on myself because the man refused to let me leave without making a scene and I didn't want it posting a still shot from surveillance videos or something, calling me a thief. While I was on the phone with 911, he decided it would finally be a good idea to contact his boss. His boss then told him that yes, they do offjer mobile checkout and that he needed to let me go. The man didn't even apologize at first, just told me to leave. I told him that an apology would be a good place to start, so he gave me a sarcastic apology. Be careful if you go into this store and want to use mobile pay. Apparently they don't train their employees on the way the app works and you may be falsely accused of stealing and extremely embarassed as well.

VERY BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE So while at this 711 a mystery shopper showed up and tried to load a card and purchase a few items. The morning AM shift employee/ cashier who was male was very rude about loading the card explaining that the Cx/mystery shopper that he had to load the card through an app. When the Cx asked if he could show him how he said it wasn’t his problem and that the Cx had to figure it out. Poor service. He didn’t have to help but he also didn’t have to be disrespectful about it. I don’t usually write reviews like this. The way the man pushed the money back was also disrespectful, has this store had customer service training?doesn’t seem that way! No one deserves to be treated that way. Ever.

This 7-11 is consistently the most expensive gas station in Puyallup. Thousands of cars that need gas pass right by every day because of this, and that explains why there is usually not even a single car filling up with gas despite the fact that they have TWELVE pumps.
This store is such a prime location as it is one of the only gas stations near the intersection of 512 and Meridian and if the owner of this store decided to compete rather than just price gouge new customers who get off the highway exit and don't know any better, they could have those twelve pumps running nonstop with cars lined up like you see at Safeway or Costco.
When I first moved here 10 years ago, this is where I usually got gas. Because their price was competitive ,and when I did buy gas, I would go inside to buy snacks and drinks. Now the only time I ever stop here is if I am literally almost out of gas and need to buy no more than one gallon so that I can finish an errand and go any other gas station. I spend at least fifty dollars a week on gas and that doesn't include snacks and drinks I might buy in the store. That adds up to about $3000 per year just from my family that is no longer being spent here. Just imagine how much money these people could be making if they weren't so greedy trying get as many pennies per sale as they can.
As an example, today this station is selling gas at $4.24 but there's one just down the road that is $3.59. I've posted a GasBuddy app screenshot showing this huge price gap.

Every time I go there on 7/11 day to get a free Slurpee they always say that they are not allowing people to get free Slurpees. They act as if their machines are broken but really they’re working just fine and they will let you buy a Slurpee but not get one for free it’s ridiculous. It’s 7-Eleven‘s policy that you get a free Slurpee on July 11. Tons of kids walk there from their houses so that they can get a free slurpee only to be let down because the owners are greedy. Plus the one by the fair always lets everyone get free slurpees ALL day.

It is very likely that their pump had a skimmer that sold my card information. My credit card company is currently investigating where the information leak came from. This is the only place I have had to "swipe" in a very long time.
