Fast service i had a long tow , with a reasonable price, we used the car care credit card they offer, which allows us with out aaa, to pay for emergency towing and mechanic, its added to the bill the tow, soo all in all I loved it car starter and tow from place with ride to shop, 3 hours maybe 4 from breakdown , whole service.

Drove my car to this shop with a new transmission that didn't work. My fault there. But they broke all the parts on my old transmission that I drove there with and didn't give me all the parts back so I can't even put the old transmission back in. $9000 to tow my vehicle back home after. An absolute disgusting experience. Would not recommend to anyone

(Let me first say that I had work done after hours so AAMCO is not entirely to blame. The shop manager Richard is an honest guy and does the best of his abilities to make his customers satisfied, this is more so on the technician Kurt.)
I brought my car in and I was told the transmission is bad. (Which was miss diagnosed by Kurt. The transmission was never bad) so I bought a used one not under warranty. No big deal since I had Kurt do the swap after hours at a discounted price, but that only led to still have the same issues I began with. So I came back to have him look over it again and I fully understand that Kurt was doing it after hours in his own spare time, but he had it for almost a month and did basically nothing to it, so I decided to pick my car up and figure it out myself.
Well it turns out my issue was a loose ground wire that Kurt miss diagnosed from the beginning. So I wasted all my time and money swapping transmissions when it never needed to be done in the first place.
(And I know the original trans was never bad, cause it was put into another car and had ZERO ISSUES shifting)

I had a revving problem while driving my 08 chrysler pacifica, looked around and found AAMCO, put my trust that they would figure out what was wrong, my husband showed a small video of the issue to Richard, he seemed to completely shrug it off and us off. We got a call when they were 'done' with the "courtesy check" the paper work estimate that was sent to my email doesn't even state that they test drove it, my husband told Richard he was going to need to test drive it a few times and over 30 mph as the issue isn't always present. Richard told us that we needed a new transmission, ok fine, I thought so that's why I took it to them. We went back to the shop to talk to Richard about the other problems he said it had, alternator, radiator hoses and few noises it was making. He totally brushed us off sent me a link to apply for financing, barely said anything, said it was going to cost $10K to fix all of it. After being met with rudeness we decided to take my truck home, so my husband got in it and attempted to drive it but the battery died, I just put a brand new one in yesterday, then all of a sudden the alternator starts to over heat, again no problems before we took it to them, AND when we we got to a safe place my husband had me turn it off and try and start it there was SOO many new noises that it never made before, I sat and cried because I had trusted these people with my vehicle and got it back in worse condition then it was in when it took it to them. We had to limp it all the way from Puyallup to MY mechanic in yelm to park it for the night, now I have to go buy a new alternator because something got messed up while they were doing their "courtesy check" that it overheated.. never had a problem with it before hand, also had the radiator replaced by my mechanic not 3 days ago and he tried to tell us the hoses were bad and it needed a coolant flush when my mechanic never said anything about them when they replaced the radiator. I'm am very unhappy and now very stressed about how we were treated. He didn't seem to care one bit about my situation or anything just trying to get as much money from us as he could.

After facing a transmission issue with my truck and receiving an exorbitant quote from the dealership, my search for a reliable and reasonably priced service led me to AAMCO Transmission & Total Care. The need for a trustworthy and efficient repair service was crucial, especially with an upcoming move and a tight deadline to meet. The dealership's quote was staggeringly high, $10K over what my insurance would cover. In my quest for alternatives, I contacted several other shops, only to be met with rudeness and apparent disinterest, especially in dealing with insurance matters. This frustrating experience was in stark contrast to what I encountered at AAMCO.Richard, the head of AAMCO, stood out as a beacon of professionalism and empathy. Unlike other shops that seemed to push their own solutions, Richard was open to using the transmission provided by the insurance company. His down-to-earth demeanor and clear communication about the process were refreshing and reassuring. The effectiveness of Richard's work was evident in the performance of my truck, which now runs better than ever. More impressively, Richard honored the tight timeline I had due to my upcoming move, ensuring the vehicle was ready without any compromise on quality. His commitment to timeliness and excellence was truly commendable. In conclusion, my experience with Richard and AAMCO Transmission & Total Care was exceptional. From customer service to technical expertise, Richard's approach and integrity set a standard that is unmatched within a 100-mile radius. I wholeheartedly recommend Richard and AAMCO for anyone in need of transmission care. They are not just service providers; they are guardian angels in the auto repair world. Thank you, Richard and AAMCO, for your outstanding service and for saving the day!
