Update. He was told by a worker that if he paid what he owed them they would unlock his account faster. Worst credit union ever. We went here because my uncle has an account with them. And someone stole his debit card . Put him negative thousands of dollars. They even took his id. The bank refused to close his account until he got a new id. These people were using his card to send his money to someone through cash app. While we were in the bank. We went back 2 weeks late and they finally locked his card now he has to wait for them to unlock it before he can get a new card or anything. This place is the worse I wouldn’t recommend them to anyone!

Good experience but my Gosh, the guy working the front desk in the front on Aug 28th around 1pm. He was helping a younger lady with the name Megan. He called her up just fine. She then gets called by a different banker. He said “I’m helping her, just drop her back in the queue.” Then another banker calls Megan. He glares at the banker. The banker goes “did you grab her?” He says with the rudest tone “yes”. How are they supposed to know? Meanwhile my grandmother is standing up because she doesn’t have her card and didn’t know she could still use the kiosk. He says “ma’am you need to check in at the kiosk and wait your turn” so rude? But anyways. Next banker calls a different persons name. Nobody comes up. The rude guy yells “just grab whoever is first! Jesus Christ!” Across the whole building. I watched him be rude to 3 people in the span of 5 minutes and stopped paying attention after my grandmother got called. It was ridiculous. Quit if you don’t like your job or can’t be nice to people, especially the poor coworkers. It’s embarrassing to them you speak that way to them but more embarrassing you behave that way as an adult. Idk who he was but I believe his last name started with an R from afar. Has to be a hostile work environment with this guy.

Called the 800 number to establish online banking and was told what I’d need and to go to a branch for assistance. Got there, wait time not bad, then helpful clerk, not, added another requirement to documents I’d need. Said I hadn’t been told I’d need that, didn’t even think her ‘sorry’ sounded like it was. Words but not tone, which I said. Won’t bother to return.

This review is for the answering service. Why can’t you put just one real life person that understands how to communicate with a person using real life words. These automated machines are soooo unhelpful, it’s like talking to a machine in the late 90’s or early 2000’s. It makes me not want to bank here because of it.

The only reason I’m giving a two star is because everybody else was so nice! My husband and I went in to open a joint account. We walked in and were greeted by the front desk lady, who was very helpful (keep in mind we also had our 9 month old with us!) this lady took us back and I really liked her customer service. For some reason her computer stopped working, and we got asked to sit with another lady named Mercy. This was when things went downhill! Normally if someone messes up I don’t write reviews but she was very disrespectful. She acted nice and put on a smile, however, because my name wasn’t changed since I got married, I had to run home and grab my marriage license. My husband said she wouldn’t stop asking about a credit card when we just cut ours up and are debt free!! It pisses me off only because she asks him while I’m not there. And then she FORGOT to get my new debit card with my new last name on it.. which I was like fine whatever. And then my husband and I realized she FORGOT to give me a card for our joint account! I mean we did do a lot like open up my daughter an account, get my card with a name change, open a joint… but I don’t feel like that is so hard or complicated. It was more of her asking my husband about credit cards while I’m away, and forgetting things that made the whole experience COMPLETELY unprofessional and unpleasant. We went to BECU on south hill and the lady helped us out so quick. We were in and out! It was just frustrating that she couldn’t figure it out the first time but I hope she does better with other people. I have been with BECU for years and I love them! Just thought I’d write my experience because I felt disappointed!

Sorry but paying from external account is too difficult. On hold twice for several minutes to make a payment.
Payments as of 5/2025 continue to be horrible via phone and unavailable by app. Go with a different credit union that makes it easier to pay

Today I met with Daniel . He was amazing . He answered all my questions and needs . Got me approved for my credit card and my personal loan I needed to help a costly repair on my vehicle I was stressing out about . Left with a big smile and stress free . Thank you for your hard work and well definitely be doing repeat business here for any of my financial needs .

Had to deal with a Credit fraud now twice this year and the other BECU in university place was SOOOO much nicer then this puyallup one. I’ve been skipped 5 times just for them to keep ignoring me. What a waste of time for real.
