Great if you have easy taxes. I needed help with an overcontribution to roth IRA. When making the appointment I clearly stated this issue. The appointment was accepted and when I arrived he stated he had never done this type of correction and wasn't willing to help me figure it out.

I have been using Gary Lynn Ward for tax prep for the past six or seven years. I also sent a couple of family members to him and we are all pleased with the courteous service we have received. Some of our tax issues are fairly complex and some of it's pretty routine. Gary handles all of it and explains the issues if we have questions on the details. Gary's office staff is also very congenial and helpful. All appointments, phone calls, emails, etc. have been handled with timely professionalism. No surprises or excuses and I like that. I believe in having various "experts" to address life circumstances whatever they may be. In other words I have a "go to" person for medical, dental, legal, taxes, auto repair, etc. For taxes it's Gary Lynn Ward, CPA - heartily recommended!

I was sent here when my accountant retired and he bought her client list. He was dismissive, unhelpful, and treated me like I was a moron. I knew it was not going to go well when I was sitting waiting for may appointment and I could smell him as he was coming out of his office! This guy stank so bad that I could smell him from over 25 feet away... and I was trapped in a tiny room with him for almost an hour!!!!!!! I had to go home and take a show and wash my clothes to get the stink off of me. His attitude matched his bad hygiene!!!!!!!!! I will go to H&R Block before I ever set foot in this office again.

He is an exemplary expert on taxes and and tax law. He answered all my questions relative to my IRA and withdrawls for a primary residence and an associate I took with me regarding on inheritance withdrawals and tax consequences of the same. He was very knowledgeable and congenial in his presentation of the facts. I would highly recommend him to all.

Gary's been our CPA for more than 10 years. Taxes are definitely something where not knowing what you don't know can cost you a lot of money. Gary knows taxes. We have come to rely on his expertise and guidance with all of our tax-related questions as our business has grown. We have found Gary super easy to work with. He finishes our business and personal tax returns quickly and he's always proactive in offering suggestions to navigate changes imposed by new tax laws.

As I sat across the desk from Gary Ward, I could easily see that not only was he very knowledgeable about best accounting practices, but he also had a wide array of experience to pull from. I remember asking him a seemingly simple question involving bookkeeping. He then spoke for about two minutes straight on everything I asked and proceeded to politely answer a few more questions I should have also asked. I would definitely recommend for anyone in the Puyallup area to give him a call. Thanks again Gary.
