I had an awesome opportunity to have an interview at Ross. I was very excited for the interview because they had a part-time position that worked with my schedule when I start school in September. Prior to my interview, the manager (Rick) already knew I had tattoos. I understand that with most jobs, tattoos need to be covered. I respect that, so I have the ability to cover my tattoos with makeup and clothing.
Anyway, the manager still scheduled an interview with me knowing I have tattoos. I got to my interview, and the manager immediately showed me the employee handbook. He told me tattoos are not allowed and could not interview me. Rick, the manager, did not even give me a chance to explain I can cover my tattoos. I truly feel he did not give me the interview based on his personal beliefs, not based on the employee handbook. I felt humiliated and discriminated upon. He could have told me in advance that it is not allowed to have tattoos and shouldn’t have scheduled me an interview (what a waste of a drive/gas, time and energy). Knowing that Ross hires managers like Rick, I will no longer shop at Ross.

I found some shoes I was about to pay 180 for on amazon. I love Ross my only problem is everybody buys all the good stuff. I will be back to get another pair of shoes.

this store is big, the only thing I noticed was the many sections of the store were empty...I was looking for suitcases and the variety was ok, but the sizes were not. Overall it was good!

Service today was terrible. The line was nearly out the door and only one cashier. We all asked if we could get more the one cashier said sorry and did nothing. There were at least 4 other workers around the check out area. When asked if we could get more cashiers one other person opened a line
She later identified herself as one of the managers. I asked why we couldn't have other cashiers. She explained that they were tidying up their stations. Crazy that customer service is no longer a priority. Just stand in line all day cause we have nothing better to do. Ross definitely needs to look at their priorities.

I'm wearing shoes I got at Ross. I got the pullover that I have on there, as well. I shop there, and nearly no other physical store because their selection of bottom of the barrel clearance makes them worth a stop. Today, my experience was much different.I spoke with a very helpful and polite security woman, who told me the sticker that had been tampered with on an item I was interested would be honored. "Just tell them security said the tag looked original and to honor it!" was her response.Fifteen minutes later I'm in line and me tion what the nice security woman said. Well, the cashier AND manager didn't buy my story. I was treated like a liar and a crook. They said the figure was easily 14.99. Good luck. They even contradicted the security woman and made her look silly. What terrible folks to work with. I want to lodge a complaint with their head office, but thought I would mention here they treat both employees and customers like trash at this Ross. Ironically, the ones I frequent in Tacoma are much less filled with hateful and rude....people. They look bad compared to TACOMA.
