South Hill Pierce County Library is a welcoming community space that offers a wide range of resources for all ages. The staff are friendly and helpful, making it easy to get a library card or find books, including a nice wall of books for purchase at low prices. The library has a large children’s area that children love, where they can play and pretend to be vets or enjoy a variety of children’s programs. It also provides backpacks for checkout based on learning themes, supporting educational activities. The library is a good place for internet access and printing, with free WiFi and the option to use public computers or personal devices. Many visitors appreciate that it feels like their own office, where they can make copies, print, or browse the internet comfortably. It’s also a resource for Covid tests, which can be taken inside without needing a library card. Regular visitors enjoy the book sales and events, especially for teens, which happen nearly every weekend. The library is especially valuable to those who lack access to resources elsewhere, including homeless individuals. While there have been some issues, such as early closing times and a desire for more nonfiction books, the overall experience remains positive. The library continues to be a vital, free community resource for reading, learning, and connecting.
Staff are pleasant. Whether you’re coming to check out a book or use the computers, there’s something for all ages including the children’s area.

It's like having my own office. I can make copies, print, and use the Internet either with my own device or use a "secure" public computer. I'll take pictures next time.
