Everyone is always polite and helpful. Have never received a snarky comment like move had at other banks. Recommended.

The absolute worst bank in the world to bank with. I make my mortgage payments every month with cash. I have my transaction withdrawal receipts from my other bank, and my umpqua online banking shows the exact dates i made my payments to my mortgage and a loan account at the same time. No problems with the loan account payments, but they somehow cannot find my mortgage payments even though they show in my online account history. Cash payments lost. Umpqua is forcing me to GIVE them 2 mortgage payments I have already made to bring my account current. Either the teller I made the payments with stole my cash or the bank itself did. Either way, BANK SOMEWHERE ELSE!!!! Just google umpqua lawsuit and you will see they are thieves. Not just from me. On top of that they charge their members $12 for a cashiers check

Went to this bank a few weeks ago and there were no issues at all ! the gentleman that helped us was so nice and helpful ! Went in again today for the same thing and the lady who helped us was Debby. she was incredibly rude. when i would ask her questions she would snap at me and talk to me as if i was incalculable of understanding. Very disappointed with the service i received

After being once again disappointed by Wells Fargo's lack of assistance to me yesterday when I tried to open an account for my mother's estate, I decided to try again at Umpqua today. The difference was like night and day! My estate attorney had assured me that I had everything I needed, yet WF's crack legal team asked for an additional form that was almost identical to that already provided by the judge. But the most frustrating thing was that after banking with them for 23 years, they didn't care that they were unable to help me. I walked into Umpqua late this morning and was greeted pleasantly by Debra, who asked if she could help me. I told her I didn't know, but if she could I would most likely be transferring my business to them. She asked me what paperwork I had, and she immediately knew it was sufficient without having to consult with the legal department. She advised me that I would be assisted by Sandy, who hadn't set up an estate account before, and that there was a possibility that it could take a little while. I assured her that that would be fine. Sandy immediately expressed her condolences for the loss of my mother. This was SO refreshing! Yes, it did take a little while, but I had explained that I was in no hurry. Sandy was so pleasant, so appreciative of my patience, and interested in me as a person that I didn't mind the time it took. I left with a coffee mug, a small bag of coffee, my business successfully completed, and a great feeling about this bank. I plan to go back next week to open my own account and wave goodbye to Wells Fargo.
