Beautiful location, the rooms are dated but very nice. We were bummed to not have a room with a newer tv to hook up our iPad for our children to watch something other than the news. The general store was closed while we were there and the gift store did not have some items you might need last minute. The closest store is about 20 minutes away and has odd hours. There was also limited staff but a very full hotel, I will say the ONLY friendly staff we had were the two girls that we saw cleaning the lodge area each morning. The wait staff were cranky or talking bad about the establishment while we were ordering or waiting for our food. Btw you should expect some wait for food delivery, once you get the food it is great but the wait can test your pateince. The front desk people multiple times it would just ignore when people were waiting in line, both when checking in and out three people at the desk were talking amongst themselves and then two of the three walked away and the third person was on their phone. It left us feeling very only getting assistance to their availability and willingness to help.

Great views. Service is ok. Breakfast is good. Dinner is overpriced for bland and low quality food. We booked in the main lodge for 167. We went into our room and heard the neighbors talking and then later the kids crying and screaming. Lodge room are very small with paper thin walls, 1 star for that room. The Lake View room was great but the upgrade we agreed to not held up by the manager when we checked out. We have the card from the manger and he said he would call us between 3 and 4 pm today the 18th of December. Staff seem nice but do not keep their word and do not value customers. Showers do not get hot, only warm. Sauna is a warm room is definitely not a sauna by any meaning of the word. Would not recommend this facility to friends or family.

A hidden gem! Lake Quinault Lodge is nestled on the lake. Near lots of walks this old style lodge offers peace and tranquility in the forest setting. The restaurant is excellent with a good range of choices and excellent service. The sitting room is large warm and atmospheric. A step back in time.We loved our weekend!PS no tvs and limited internet.Rooms: Great size and well equipped. Comfy beds.

For the price I expected more. The main lodge rooms are horrible, we walked in and immediately walked out and requested another room. Room was small, no TV, and could hear what our next door neighbors were saying. Had to pay for an upgrade and the room was bigger but still not worth it. We're on a honeymoon road trip and are more interested in spending time together in our room relaxing after driving and exploring. This hotel is not for that.Rooms: Small, small, small. Showers of death via slip and slid.

Let's do a little comparison of 3 star hotels: Comfort Suites Tukwila and the Lake Quinault Lodge.Toilets that are farther than 3" from a wall on either side?Comfort Suites: Yes Lake Quinault Lodge: NoAdequate shower space, water pressure, and water heat?Comfort Suites: Yes Lake Quinault Lodge: NoSoundproof?Comfort Suites: Yes Lake Quinault Lodge: NoComplimentary Breakfast?Comfort Suites: Yes Lake Quinault Lodge: NoIn room TV and refrigerator?Comfort Suites: Yes Lake Quinault Lodge: NoCellular reception and Complimentary Wi-Fi?Comfort Suites: Yes and Yes Lake Quinault Lodge: Absolutely no reception and 30 mins daily per device*Beds manufactured in this century?Comfort Suites: Yes Lake Quinault Lodge: NoPrice for an overnight stay for 2?Comfort Suites: $116 Lake Quinault Lodge: $189*The hotel also provides access to limited data plans starting at $7.99.Reader, this hotel leans entirely too far into their historic and scenic trope in order to justify exorbitant prices. This building is going on 100 years and has probably seen little to no modernizations or improvements in quite some time. "OOOOOoooohhh, but its a historic building," you object. "We can't tear down history just to make way for adequate plumbing systems and well built **walls**!" To that, I whole heartedly agree. The building itself is beautiful and charming, the surrounding areas marvelously enchanting. But if we want to preserve history, lets make this a public building and museum. If we want to continue to profit off something, it needs to be renovated and maintained. Desperately. The lake, surrounding trails, and even the Lodges lounge area and Dining Hall are open access to anyone with a National Parks Pass. There are also other equally if not more suitable places to stay a few minutes up the road with less expensive price tags.If you choose to stay here, you're doing so for the name itself. You will not have a semi-luxury experience. You will sleep on an old spring mattress; you will hear the children next door to you playing with each other at 6 am; you will realize there aren't a lot of dining options in Quinault and spend roughly $30 per plate in the Roosevelt Room; you will question how such a small shower was ever appropriate, even in 1926; you will walk outside to see the lake and not sit in your room with a window facing it, and you will wonder why it was so important for you to spend more money to stay in a shabby hotel that pretends its luxury because it's next to a lake that anyone can drive to if they have 3 hours on any given weekend to do so.Rooms: We stayed in a single Queen bed room. The heater pipes banged and rattled all night and made our room entirely too warm, even when turned "off". The walls are paper thin and you can hear doors opening and closing up and down the hall all night long as well as your neighbors even if they aren't being very loud. You could also hear the people above us. I was very impressed to find the ceiling fan was single speed. It's options were "whirling around frantically as if about to fall from the ceiling" and Off. I didn't know they made them like that. The bathroom had to be an after thought. I can't fathom how any noted architect would design a building like this. The drainage pipe from the bathroom above us went right through our bathroom and you could hear every time our upstairs neighbor flushed. *ICK*. The toilet was placed so anyone north of 170 lbs would have to sit on it sideways because it was 1) place precariously on a step, and 2) 3" from the shower wall. These are not exaggerations. I hated this bathroom.Nearby activities: Miles and miles of camping and hiking. A beutiful lake that I hear gets warm enough to swim in during the summers. (I don't know if I believe that.)Safety: As far as I could tell, doors to the main lobby never locked and once inside you could walk all around even up to the rooms. You are in Quinault th

Oh, dear reader, buckle up for a journey back in time at the Quinalt Lodge – a place where the term "historic" doesn't just mean charmingly old, but rather a bold celebration of outdated living. Don't get me wrong, there is so much charm to an old log cabin nestled in the mountains that screams "Christmas is here, lets break out the holiday sweaters and sip on a hot toddy." Driving down the long winding road got us more excited with each passing of an electric green mossy Spruce. However, the lodge instead decided to preserve the past without considering any updates for the present.Let's start with the rooms, shall we? Upon entering the lodge you are greeted with handfuls of literature aimed at teaching you about the construction of the building. You'll notice that none of the pictures depict children, despite the past widely approving of child labor. The walls at the lodge are so thin that eavesdropping on your neighbors becomes an unintended activity of your stay. Picture this: you're trying to enjoy a peaceful evening, savoring the ambiance of a historic lodge, only to find yourself an unwilling participant in the bedtime drama of the family next door. The children's enthusiastic screams and yells become an impromptu soundtrack to your stay, turning the quaint retreat into a live-action sitcom without the courtesy of a remote control to mute the cacophony. So, for those seeking the ultimate auditory adventure, Quinalt Lodge offers an unparalleled experience where privacy takes a backseat and the decibel level reaches historic heights. Sweet dreams, indeed. The accommodations at Quinalt Lodge are a true testament to the art of time travel – back to an era when saggy mattresses and worn-out carpets were considered the epitome of luxury. If you're a fan of bathroom sinks placed over carpet, then congratulations, you've found your dream destination. Now, for the price – because who wouldn't want to pay a premium for the privilege of experiencing a blast from the past? Prepare to part ways with your hard-earned cash for this stay. The room rates at Quinalt Lodge are pretty ridiculous considering the above, to include 30 minutes of complimentary wifi (per DAY). Fun fact we were not privy to: if you start your 30 minutes and then disconnect your wifi session, your 30 minutes for the day is now over. Now, despite being of the younger generation, we did not expect to come out into the woods and spend our free time posting highlight reels to Instagram. However, amidst our late nights and early mornings thanks to the neighbor children, having something to drown out the noise would have been the least of accommodations. Now for the positives: the staff were absolutely wonderful. We learned that quite a bit of them are seasonal workers who did a phenomenal job. It certainly was not their fault that the lodge sucked up all their hard earned work, to only NOT put it back into the environment they were fostering. There was even Hoh tribal members who came for a storytelling evening on our stay - asking for donations - I can only hope that the lodge is adequately paying them for their time as well.... but despite conglomerate Arakmark owning the place, I can only imagine that their sort of virtue signaling is doing land acknowledgements to make themselves feel better. In conclusion, Quinalt Lodge is the kind of place that leaves you wondering if the historic charm is worth the sacrifice of basic comforts.

It’s an historic hotel, so the rooms will be smaller and kept true to their time period. The staff is very friendly and the restaurant at the lodge is wonderful. The view of the lake from the hotel is stunning. The hiking trails adjacent to the property show how gorgeous the landscape is. The fire in the main room is always lit and many seating places for people to enjoy. This is one of my favorite places I’ve ever been to, and I’m already dreaming of the next time I can go back.

Lake Quinault Lodge was overall a great experience. The vibe is almost White Lotus in the woods. The grounds are absolutely gorgeous and well-maintained, the room didn’t have many bells and whistles but this isn’t the type of place you spend in your room all day. The food is expensive but that can be expected in any remote lodging. And yes, because it is in a forest, there are bugs, that is inevitable.Nearby activities: La Push, Hoh Rainforest
