The store I tried going to was no longer there I found one 18 miles away so I sucked it up and drove there they not only did not have what I was looking for but the employee was on her phone instead of answering my question then was rude to me once she finally acknowledged I was there very bad experience

The worker looked at me like I was going to steal sonthibt said “don’t break anything” when I walked by was staring at me when walking around but clean store and seemed fine once I bought something

Went in for a fishing license and the old man Bruce with glasses at the Redmond store was insanely rude. I went in for two fishing licenses. I ended up only leaving with 1 because I couldn’t take his rudeness. I tried telling him he was being rude and he was so self-centered he didn’t even realize and kept being rude. Will definitely be taking my business elsewhere.

The atmosphere in this store is very weird. The sale man doesn’t greet people and is not welcoming at all.

I'm sorry, but this review finally had to happen...
The big five of yester year is apparently gone...
When I entered the Redmond store, it appeared to be more of a close out store vibe....with sharper image....Brookstone products, bb guns that look like real guns.... Perfectly mocking up legitimate handguns.
In fact, they are made under the same real gun Manufacturer namesakes.
Now we get into the throwing knives, and other gimmicky garbage....
All sorts of overpriced candy, one time use inflatable products....pools and such.
The clothing and baseball equipment, was about the only thing decent.
Now we transition into the staff.
The people working here are a little odd.
Some long term, installed individuals...
Nothing wrong with that, if they were quality retail workers. They are not though. There are no pleasantries, greetings....when entering the store. Or looking around...none.
What there definitely was was, a lot of interpersonal staff talk, about off road equipment they installed....and who was off tomorrow ....and how much working sucked.
I used to have such fantastic memories of big five. Now, honestly, when I get the mailer coupon, I throw it away.
I have no idea how this store is even in existence?.... Maybe it's owed to high-school team sports, where parents with an exorbitant amount of money.... have to buy a catcher's glove ...or some baseball equipment, etc. Because the prices in general, are stratospherically, way too high.
I priced just about everything. And the only thing that was cheap... was socks... and some shoes. And honestly, you can find better deals online.
I won't visit big five again.
I have to walk the good memories of the eighties up.... and move on elsewhere with my pursuit of outdoor activities.

Great place to go for sporting goods and the manager made it all special for us. My son got a great pair of steel toe work boots by Eddie Bowers for a work project

I got solid work boots for 40 bucks. Why go to these other expensive stores when I can get steel toed boots for this cheap?? It's criminal, I think.

One of the older guys working there made me feel so uncomfortable the whole time!!! He just stared at me the entire time I was there like a robot, not blinking.... I look just like everyone else in this town, no reason to single me out like I'm a theif. I have no reasons why he would have made me feel so uncomfortable other than possible racism- either way, what a jerk! (●EDIT AS I SEE OTHER'S REVIEW HERE ABOUT THE SAME GUY. HE MAY BE MANAGER, DON'T SHOP HERE●)
