Had a good experience here shopping for work. Noticed not a lot of variety of items and didn't see any specialty items. Cashier was slow but it was a slow night. Didn't bag all of the stuff I was getting, leaving a few things out and didn't say anything about why. Kind of a dark parking lot.

buying fried chicken before lunch for sure you'll get the old chicken from yesterday. This happen to me 3x and on last one I can't even eat the chicken its old and smelly make me want to puke.(sorry about that) so now I learned my lesson to not buy chicken that early unless its Monday

It's ok. It has all the essentials, food and some other stuff. They are usually understocked, but I've never had problems finding what I need. The main problem is the bathroom. The bathroom isn't clean, I never go to the bathroom here. Otherwise, it's an ok store, I've been to better stores.

Went to the deli to get dinner. I think the deli manager thought he was doing me a favor by giving me three pieces of chicken for the price of two. Now I have three legs of old, dried out chicken instead of two. Even when you get past the hard coating on the chicken leg the dried out meat is inedible. Better to write off the chicken then give it to a customer. I gave it one star as you can't post the review with zero stars.

This store is right down the street from me and I go out of my way to avoid it. I stop here whenever I have no choice or need something asap. Each time I'm reminded why I hate shopping here. My main issues are the cleanliness and the lack of enforcement regarding COVID guidelines. I've seen many customers with either no mask or their masks on their chins. Also, many employees with masks down below their nose. I stopped at the Deli counter Friday night and the man there was grumpy and handled all my hot food with no gloves. If you have a choice go somewhere else.

I was going to leave a one star review initially as the majority of the store seems to care not for customer service, being largely rude and unhelpful; especially that guy Brandon at the customer service who seemed so put out by my request for assistance that I almost left. however, I was helped by a young man named Ian or Brian or something like that (the tall blonde kid with the ponytail) and he was an absolute superstar. He went out of his way to help us in every way possible, and even caught and replaced an item I didn't realize was damaged. He was really nice and positive and I hope he assists me the next time I'm in, because it seems he's the only person there who actually give a damn about their job. I have not interacted with any of the Starbucks staff but there is also a Starbucks at this location, (for any readers who are into coffee) the deli food is often over cooked or sitting under a hot lamp to the point of complete dehydration, and if you're buying doughnuts get there early in the morning because it seems they're always dried out and old if you buy them after 12pm. The butcher is okay, if a bit pricey at times; just make sure to check the dates on your meat before you buy it. Produce is pretty standard, they have organic produce as well if you're into that sorta thing. Bakery has pre-made and made to order cakes however I've never ordered one so I cannot judge the quality of their bakery.

This store has been a disappointment every single time I have shopped there in Redmond. Employees usually are not helpful in finding things and the manager is a grumpy old man! Ugh! Only one employee helped me this evening and she was clocking out so she did it on her time off! Jenny was her name and I won't forget that. She made the time to show me where things were when a previous employee told me that they didn't carry ammonia or condensed milk. This lady went out of her way to help me find these items. The manager is not a nice person and grumpy as hell. He needs to get an attitude adjustment! I'm still angry about it! Corporate needs to teach him to be more helpful and less of a j**** Safeway is my go to store but if people like him keep acting like that I'm going to Fred Meyer or QFC! So disappointed! The k my saving grace was that nice young lady Jenny! She went out of her way after she clocked out when she didn't have to. The manager was rude to her when she was trying g to help me which made me angrier! He never acknowledged me as I complained at the check out and he was standing right next to me. He should be so thankful to have her working for him. What a disgrace!

Made the mistake of coming in here before work at around 7 am. Only one checkout lane open and no self checkouts open. Came in for one item and stood in line to checkout for 20 minutes. 8 people ahead of me and the cashier didn't bother wiping down or sanitizing a single surface between customers. So we're all forced to use one keypad and the store's not even willing to clean it between uses. Never again.

Every time I shop here I'm reminded why it's been 6 months even though they are the closest store. They WILL CHEAT YOU if you don't watch the cash register and MAKE them give you the price shown on the display EVEN WITH A CLUB CARD. Then they act like YOU are the one trying to cheat THEM. It happens EVERY TIME - most often on their soda "offers" which they SHOULD KNOW. This store is poorly run, rarely answers product inquiries (such as do you still stock this or are you just out of it AGAIN?). They NEVER take requests as to what to stock, and increasingly they carry less healthful foods so they can carry infinite varieties of Sugar Bomb cereals and Full-o-Fat snacks. I've all but stopped shipping here. Target is cheaper and keeps their shelves properly stocked.

I refused service at your deli today because your staff, SERVING FOOD, did not wear a face mask correctly, her nose was fully exposed, and she did not try to fix it between serving customers. Disgraceful.

Terrible customer service. They announced on the speaker several times that they close at 10 pm and it was 8:50 pm. A little early for this announcement. I went to order meat from the deli at 9pm and was told the deli is closed and all the meat had been put away. He rudely said it was closed and went about his business. How is the deli closed when there is still one hour left of shopping in the store?? Now I have to make another trip to a grocery store but certainly not this store. We checked out around 9:05 to find one of the exits blocked off with grocery carts as if they were closing soon. So I had to walk to the other end of the store to find another exit. Will not be back here!

It's 20 minutes until my 40th birthday. I called around to all the stores in the area to see who had the champagne i wanted to celebrate at midnight and this safeway had it. I hurried my closing duties at work so I could make it in time for midnight! It's a super special tradition for us. And I asked for 2 expensive bottles. The manager came to tell me they had lost the key who knows when and couldn't sell anything they had of value. I was visibly devastated. He then told me they had a lock smith coming and I asked when .... with a condescending tone he said " not tonight " he told me I could buy cheap champagne ....I said no...it's my 40th birthday and we celebrate at midnight. I don't appreciate being spoken to like I don't matter and that my big moment was of no significance to your staff. A little decency or even to offer to find a safeway closest to me that hadn't lost their key and would sell me what i came for would have been nice. I'm going to QFC from now on. They are kind. Thanks for making me cry

This was the worst Safeway I have ever been to. The staff had zero customer service to an extent of being outwardly rude. At first I thought it was just the butcher who just didn't know where things where in the store. But "Ben" in the deli was even worse when he scared my small child yelling at a co worker and then threw my lunch meat on the counter and walked away before I could order anything else. Nothing improved when I went to check out. The cashier did not speak one word to me and when I requested paper bags the bagger didn't want to give me the ones with handles even after the cashier handed them to her. It generally seems like everyone working there hates their job and takes it out on the shoppers. Thank goodness this is not my regular grocery store because I will never again go back.
