Always an extremely long wait with what has to be the slowest moving staff in the world. I waited today for an hour and 15 minutes while one of the two workers spent that entire time helping an old lady try on 20 different glasses. Absolute garbage service.

Expect at least couple of hours queue anytime, any day. I don't know if it is bad prescription or bad glasses. But one thing for sure, their glasses don't work at all! Very blurry, out of focus vision. Will not recommend!

Super bad service. The glass lens were super heavy and twice thick as glasses from other places. This is the most disappointed experience in Costco.

The folks helping with glasses are all extremely helpful and, better yet, patient. For people with complicated prescriptions, they don't hesitate to work as a team.

The eye exam place is below average. Employees work there as a job - least interested in providing quality healthcare. Also, if you have Premera insurance they will bill you more because they know the insurance will cover it.The eye glasses shop at Costco is amazing!

The optical at the Redmond Costco is excellent. They accept VSP in-network for hardware benefits, which means you get the full reimbursement amount for hardware rather than the often lower out-of-network payout. The associates are friendly, down to business, and unlike most private practices, only sell you what you want/need rather than what makes them the most money. There is no pressure here to buy anything. For my contact lenses, Costco is almost always the cheapest, even after you account for rebates that the manufacturers provide to eye doctors. Shipping speed is... ok. They use one of the major distributors to ship (I believe it is Wisconsin Vision Associates, last I checked). These guys generally don't ship as quickly as some of the online outfits like 1800Contacts, ACLens, etc, but I haven't waited more than 2 weeks to get an order. I started coming here because I was sick of being guilt-tripped by my optometrist's office to buy boxes of contacts that took forever to ship and were marked up by as much as 50% over what I could pay online. You should feel empowered to shop around and get the best deal. Note - this is a review of the optical department, not the optometrist. The doctor is actually really good, but that's a different listing.

First appointment experience was great but picking up the eyeglasses was a pain. Slow and unhelpful staff.

Incredibly frustrating experience from start to still unfinished. I called multiple times to get someone on the phone for the appointment, at which time an explanation for what to expect for a first time contact lense appointment was not provided (I booked and explained this appointment was for my teenage son). I didn't know a fitting (getting the contact onto the eye) had to be completed before the prescription was filled (the woman helping us acted as if I should have known). After the exam we were told we'd have to return another day for the fitting, so I asked if they had time that day in order to avoid further delay. After much confusion and blank looks from staff they were able to fit him in and my son spent 30 minutes trying to complete the fitting and was unsuccessful. I finally pulled him out and was told by staff they would call to schedule a follow-up fitting. That call never came and when he was ready to return, our prescription had "expired" and we were told we would have to pay for a new exam (after several more calls to reach someone). Apparently, I signed off on the expiration in their paperwork (3 month expiration date on appointments), so my bad. Costco does offer great prices, but I will gladly spend a little extra in order to have a more pleasant, successful experience. It's been a long time since I've experienced this level of disregard from a doctors office. If you enjoy customer service, this is not the place for you.

Shout to Sara. She was patient and kind helping me with my frames and explaining my options. Sara measured my pupil distance and found the right height of the bifocals. When I picked up my glasses, they were perfect!
