Visited the Redmond Costco for gas today. Decided to also go into the actual warehouse to browse, because I normally shop at the Issaquah warehouse. Not all Costcos offer all of the same items. Today I found Maldon Seasalt,! And some delicious coconut rolls cookies The Redmond Costco is laid out very different than the Issaquah warehouse. BTW, FYI this Costco doesn't scan your Costco Citibank CC yet

When for a dozen things I have been buying for 15 years. They had discontinued all the items I wanted. So I went to the snack bar for the famous $1.50 hot dog. They had the hot dog but had discontinued most of the the topping except Ketchup and mustard which now come in small plastic sleeves.....I am strongly considering discontinuing my membership I really hate giving up the hot dog....

I love Costco the times i have gone with family or friends but the fact that the cardholder has to be with me is insane. I get that it’s to avoid abuse of the card, but when i’m the one doing grocery runs because the cardholder is in the HOSPITAL, it feels a little ridiculous.

Excellent shopping place for grocery, electronics, clothes and other household items. It does have some additional south Asian grocery items to cater to the larger diaspora of the south Asian community in the neighborhood. Also it has the best warranty for electronics which no other retailer could match.

Do as I say and not as I do and visit other than the weekend when it's **really** busy. Good location and plenty of parking and shopping space.

Quick overview: -this Costco has optical, pharmacy, food court, tire center+self serve nitrogen (during tire center hours only), and gas, but NO car wash -five years ago I would have given this location 4.5 or 5 stars, but lately ownership seems to be cheaping out so only 3-3.5 stars now This location used to be one of the best costcos in the area when it opened: clean, well-stocked, a good amount of specialty/seasonal offerings, etc. It's gone downhill a bit since the COVID pandemic, and hasn't bounced back the way many retailers have. Stuff is constantly out of stock that didn't used to be (toilet bowl cleaner, balsamic vinegar, other normal/nonseasonal staple items). The nice selection of local/craft wine/beer that they used to have has mostly been exchanged for big box varieties (no... Elysian doesn't count as local or craft anymore). Empty boxes/pallets on the sales floor don't get swapped out. Lines at checkout have gotten massive even at off hours on weekdays. Everything points towards Costco as a corporation doing what every other big box store does: cutting back on worker costs at the expense of the customer (and, honestly, probably the employees too). Another example is the u scan. I am a big fan of u scans because I don't like talking to strangers, and I don't like checkers chucking my produce like they're competing in the shotput. I understand why Costco recently implemented ID checks at the u scan station to prevent membership sharing: this was the whole point of them holding your card at the regular checkout while they rang you up back before they installed the u scans. That's fine; it's Costco's prerogative to check or not. However, the implementation of this has been terrible. If you want to check 12 different peoples membership cards in a line that feeds to 12 different scanning stations, they need to have more than 1 employee babysitting the line. As it is, if they're busy catching someone else with a "borrowed" card while there are open lanes and you go forwards, you get yelled at and treated like a criminal (even if your card is, in fact, yours). This isn't the card-checker's fault, to be exceptionally clear; this is Costco trying to pinch pennies and everyone has a worse experience as a result. Costco can't have it both ways. If people are paying $100+ a year for a club store, they expect better service and quality than they would get at a bargain store. Costco needs to staff this store sufficiently and compensate said employees fairly

Best costco in Redmond. It is very clean and a lot of self checkouts. You can get anything you can think of in any costco and more. They also have a very big gas station. I go there every weekend. I just love Costco.

I was getting gas at Costco and noticed I had a flat tire so I thought “easy enough fix I’m at Costco and I can take it to the tire center” I paid $12 for a patch and an hour later one of the technicians said my tire was unsalvageable, that it had been driven on too long and it was beyond repair. I asked if I could get a replacement tire and he said my tires were 2 weeks out and better off going somewhere else (thankfully I did). He told me I could drive on my spare for up to a month and was done with me. Wrongly believing his “expertise” I took my car to Les Schwab the next day explaining I needed to buy a new tire (possibly two so I was about to spend $500 on new tires) when the front desk worker asked to see the “unrepairable tire”. With a quick visual inspection she determined all it needed was a simple patch (what I had paid $12 for at Costco) and they repaired it for free. The tire is back on my car and completely fine. If I had listened to the Costco tire center expert I’d be $500 in the hole and be driving on a spare for weeks. That was my first, and ultimately last, time I go to the tire center.

Costco is always a great spot to shop. Always love grabbing lunch here since it's 2 minutes away from my work.
