Really rude staffer. Apparently you have to re stock and put shoes back exactly where you took from.
If you missed a single one the staff will hound you and make sure you do their job of restocking the shoes you got from.
Didn’t know you were supposed to do the job of people you work for where you’re supposed to shop.
Really innovative model of sales.

Front of store, before you even walk in, lets you know things are in flux. Dirty window glass, inside and out, abandoned shopping carts, trash. Then you read the sign taped to the door: Pardon Our Mess. Oh, okay, they are working on improvements! Sure enough, part of the store is draped in construction sheeting, and things are going on behind there. Now back to shopping. Rows and rows of athletic shoes, open toed casual shoes, Crocs and Dansko shoes, Clark's and Skechers and all those brands you know, plus some that might be new to you. There they are. Boxes are mostly arranged beneath the display shoes, but then there's also those pesky end caps with piles of debris, empty boxes, and whatnot. There may be an employee trying to tidy up and/or restock. At the front, there are one or two cashiers engaged in deeply personal conversations, to the point that if you actually do feel like buying something, you'll be embarrassed to have to say "ah-hem" or whatever. All right. Could be anywhere, but it's DSW. This used to be a fun place to shop, a place with cool socks and new footwear to make your special event or vacation or just daily life a bit more nifty. Now it's like I said, in flux. Give them some time to sort it out. Meanwhile, do your due diligence and check out prices online before heading to the store. The clearance items are final sale, no returns. The regular prices are mostly okay. You just need to be aware of what things should cost. Above all, please nicely put away anything you try on. This will make it better for the next shopper because this store does not have the staff to assist like at a fancy department store. Just take your time browsing, then either buy something or not. Mostly, just wait. It says they are going to improve. I will be back for that!

Not sure if we're all dealing with the same woman (who I pray isn't the one they've put in charge) or if the whole store has a bad attitude but wow, these reviews are accurate. If there isn't a separate line for pick up orders maybe remove the large sign that says "order pick up" in the corner of the register area, indicating that's where pick up orders go like 99% of other stores do. I think I'm pretty nice and reasonable and would've happily gone to the check out line if I was told to go there at any point. Could've been that simple, no lip needed. I work customer service too and I know dealing with people can be annoying but its a large part of the job. I give an extra star though because my shoes were the correct size so that meant I didn't have to continue speaking to her (:

Sat on a bench and it was covered in kids spit up. Couldn't even wash my hands since their bathroom was broken and according to an employee, has been for a long time. 2 of the 3 pairs of shoes i took to the front to buy were the wrong sizes
