Stay Far Away From Firestone Redmond – Dangerous, Dishonest, and Incompetent
I purchased a lifetime alignment from Firestone last year and had the initial work done at the Woodinville location. That experience went smoothly, and I was satisfied. Fast forward a year later, I took my car into Firestone of Redmond, and it was a completely different (and frankly disturbing) experience.
After dropping off my car, I got a call a couple of hours later claiming the nuts on my front inner tie rods were seized and they couldn’t do the alignment. Then they tried to upsell me on new tires, claiming the wear was so bad they needed to be replaced. Funny enough, those tires have less than 10,000 miles on them and are almost brand new.
When I picked up the car, I noticed even more garbage: they were recommending a brake fluid and coolant flush. I asked if these were just schedule-based or if they actually inspected them. The supervisor told me they physically inspected the fluids that’s a huge red flag. My brake fluid was flushed less than 30 days ago, and the coolant was flushed two months ago. Either they’re lying or they have no idea what they’re looking at.
The next day, I had a trusted friend (a professional mechanic of 20+ years) take a look. What he found was unacceptable:
• The jam nuts on the tie rods were never re-tightened, meaning I was driving around with loose tie rods a major safety hazard.
• The valve stem core on one of my front tires was loose, causing a slow leak.
• He was able to break the “seized” tie rod nut free with no issue.
• He measured my tires and confirmed they were all at 6-7/32” and not needing to be replaced.
How do you give the customer a print out of the before and after alignment without hardware fastened/secure? Not to mention the before numbers on my front tires were more acceptable than the after.
I called the store manager to report all of this, and all he had to say was, “Sorry,” and that I’d have to take it up with the Woodinville store for a refund.
Bottom line: this location is either dangerously incompetent or actively dishonest. The mechanics here are more interested in pushing unnecessary services than doing their actual job and clearly have zero quality control. I wouldn’t trust these people to check tire pressure, let alone touch my car again.
Avoid this place like the plague.

Jake is always nothing short of absolutely pleasant during every interaction I've ever had with him. Him and his team of Technicians are always thorough in their explanation of not only what is recommended but more importantly WHY anything is recommended. I was able to get my lifetime alignment reset done with an appointment quickly and efficiently. Furthermore, Jake is always on top of my vehicles history and letting me know what maintenance services may be due in the future even if Im only in there for a simple flat repair or alignment.
Rest assured, your in trustworthy hands here.

Avoid this shop. Rude and lying like doesn’t care at all. On their list they have all the services: repairing and changing oil. But they can tell you they are just a tire business. They have reason for being so careless: they are being sold.

Had them fix my ac, get the car ready for summer; ac broke and they couldn’t get me in for a few days. Car ended up overheating and died on me. So paid almost 300 for nothing. I’m absolutely furious; I have no car now

Brian is a liar and a thief. They lied an about the time to fix our car. The employees at this location are very rude. We lost access to our car for multiple days. Go literally anywhere else.

We scheduled a refrigerant refill and were quoted for the inspection and refill based on our vehicle's year, make, model, trim, and required size for refrigerant. I've been a customer for decades with Firestone with various vehicles - never have I experienced such dismissal and disrespect or waste of my time. We were quoted 2 hours for the work. At the end of the 2 hours we were informed the inspection couldn't even begin because the vehicle has a newer AC system they aren't set up for. SSS Brian wrongfully claims that one in every 500 vehicles have the newer ac system, which is a joke - our year, make, model, and trim equate to a standard style and size of ac system. They should have been informed. They should have informed us of thr possibilities. And, they should not have taken 2 hours following the appoitnment time and drop-off of the vehicle to inform us they couldn't even inspect it. Such a waste of time and energy. When he blamed the technician for the 2-hours and I requested to speak with the technician, Brian's response to me was "Sure, I'll pull the tech off a different car so that another customer can be unhappy." This isn't about happiness, it's about expecting a BUSINESS to be PROFESSIONAL and using EFFECTIVE COMMUNICATION and TIME MANAGEMENT to INFORM customers ACCURATELY and taking ACCOUNTABILITY when they fall short. I will be making a BBB claim. Leaving us without options this short of notice before a long trip starting in a week, through the desert in the summer when we expected to have the ac filled before going, despite having a scheduled appointment in advance, is not ethical. The least that could have been done was informed us at the time of the appointment when they pulled the car in - not 2 hours later. Insanity. This isn't rocket science. I don't know much about cars but I sure as heck knew we had a newer ac system and Firestone had the capability of informing us they didn't have the proper tools to inspect and recharge it.

Super friendly and professional staff, great prices, and timely work. The online appointment did require a call back to confirm which is unnecessary. I'm pleased with the convenience with online appointments to minimize time taken to maintain my vehicle.

Found out I had a flat tire first thing this morning- not the way you want to start off a Friday! Managed to make it to the Redmond Firestone and they were able to fit me in as soon as they could and get me on my way without waiting too long. I really appreciated it! Especially since they had an already full schedule. A nail was the culprit for trying to ruin my morning but it didn’t work!
I’ve been going to Firestone for the last 10 years and have never been disappointed! I’ve been to countless locations and they have always been welcoming, helpful, and accommodating.
