Fulcrum is an amazing place for Olympic weightlifting and general strength training. The coaches here have experience with all kinds of athletes from different backgrounds. It doesn’t matter if you’re starting out or an advanced athlete, this place is for everyone! The community here is very welcoming and you always learn something new (not just limited to fitness). If you’re thinking about strength training but are afraid to take the first step, I would recommend just dropping in and having a chat with the coaches!

This is the best weightlifting training hall. I was encouraged to join by my adult son when I complained about back and shoulder pain from over 40 years of dental assisting. I was skeptical because I envisioned a gym filled with sweaty, muscle bound guys. He assured me that it wasn't that kind of gym and that the trainers were extremely well trained and knowledgeable. I went in for a few private sessions with Emily and was hooked! She was patient, encouraging, and slowly led me through all the basics. She monitored my form and she made sure that it was correct. This was done with positive feedback on what I was doing correctly and tweaking what changes I needed to make. Almost three years later, I no longer have any back or shoulder pain. I am so much stronger, and most importantly, I have much better balance and stability. I am 68 years old and have found a strong community that supports and encourages each other no matter what age or capability you are. It's scary to think that there are gyms out there that just give you a tour of the facilities and then you are on your own unless you pay for expensive private training. I encourage everyone who wants to improve their fitness and health to give this training hall a try and you too will be amazed. They not only support your physical health but also provide emotional support. I can't thank Emily enough for everything she has done for me.

I have been training here for more than 7 months total and I enjoy it a lot. They will teach you the correct technique and the best one for your mobility and body.I used to have constant back pain after doing deadlifts or doing heavy back squats but now it doesn't happen. They are very experienced, I have been lifting at different gyms and with many different coaches but coaches here are different (don't mean to belittle other coaches but I felt much better here).

I lifted by myself, doing Strong Lifts 5x5 for about 3.5 years at 24hr Fitness. Within the first 2 months of training at Fulcrum with Emily, Micheal, and Maryliah I had already set a brand new set of PRs in every single lift and I've continued to make huge strides here. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly, and extremely professional and helpful. They ease you into lifts and new exercises gradually and carefully, slowly adding new dimensions as you master the basics. The small group classes here are super-fun and I leave both exhausted and excited to come back every single time.I can't imagine lifting anywhere else, Fulcrum has been amazing.

Best training I've ever had, and a gym full of diverse, friendly people. I love it here and could never go back to lifting alone at 24hr Fitness.I've made more progress in 8 months at Fulcrum than I did in 4 years at 24, and all without any injuries (a regular occurrence there due to my own inexperience and lack of training).

Fulcrum is a fantastic place to lift. Coaches are very knowledgeable and able to work with individuals of all levels. The programming hits pretty much every facet of fitness and includes accessory work so you don't have to worry about cobbling together your own programming. They offer concentrated olympic lifting programs and more generalized strength programs that are applicable to anyone looking to be healthier.

After a year of training here, Fulcrum has me feeling healthy and strong. The coaches are fantastic, lifters are a delight, and the equipment is top of the line. The atmosphere here is everything I could as for, and then some!

I've been going here for a couple of months, and I love it. The staff, facilities, training, and community are great, and I plan to keep coming here for as long as I can. A great place to go if you like the community of crossfit but would rather focus on strict weightlifting with good form.

Without a doubt the best weightlifting facility near Seattle. You can feel the years of insane knowledge within a few moments of speaking with the coaches and the owner Michael. I'd recommend Fulcrum Training Hall for individuals that want to get stronger as an athlete. The equipment is high quality and constantly growing with new various tools.

This is by far the best place to lift weights and get rid of your aches and pains. Great environment with amazing people. If you care about gaining strength in your body as you age, this is the place to go. I consider myself very lucky to find this place three years ago when I moved to this area .

I will start off by giving the reader a simple synopsis. This is the worst gym I have ever been too. This gym ruined my life and you shouldn't trust the trainers here or the owner. It's also over priced and you'll run into people with bad attitudes and exhibit cult like behavior towards the owner. Do NOT do starting strength or any other kind of training here. Worse case scenario you'll become seriously injured and potentially disabled (like me). Think I'm joking? Read on. I'll start from the beginning. I had no previous work out experience outside of P90X so I came to this gym to do a program called Starting Strength. I figured this was the right gym to come to since the owner, Michael Street, has worked with Mark Rippetoe and was mentioned in his book "Starting Strength". This gym seemed to have exactly what I wanted so naturally I signed up for their Starting Strength program. Instead of working with Michael directly, or even partially, I was given a 23 year old trainer straight out of college named Emily Stanford. My first red flag. I probably shouldn't have accepted someone so inexperienced, but I figured she would be under Michael's guidance. Besides, Starting Strength isn't a complex workout regiment. From the get go I felt out of place. People here seem nice but they really have this kinda "gym bro" attitude and a cult of Michael (the owner). Anything he says goes. Any opinion or thought he has is the thought to have. Another red flag but I ignored it because I really did want to get into better shape and everyone on the internet says this is the program to start with. So I started with this program. I started my weight really light and it was relatively easy for the first 2 months. I had no interaction with Michael which I thought was kinda unfair considering how much I was paying. Another red flag that I ignored. Eventually the gym was moved to another location which was really shitty compared to where we were. It was smaller with less racks, crowded and overall dirty compared to the original gym. At this point there was an intern guy there and he was assigned to me. I don't know why I accepted this as I'm getting an even less experienced person. I also hit a limit on my back squat so I switched to a front squat. I talked to Michael about it and he said "ok". Anyway, I was with the intern (which really is the intern of the intern) and one day I must have had bad form (which was not corrected) with the front squat and after two sets I stopped and went home because my back was hurting really badly (and would continue to hurt for the next 2 days). Little did I know I seriously injured myself. I mentioned it but no one seemed to care. To be perfectly clear, my back has never hurt or ached in my entire life. Not once. This was the first time. After that every time I did a squat my low back would feel funny, not painful, just funny for the rest of the day. It felt normal for days I didn't work out. I told them but no one seemed to care. Eventually one day Emily was incredibly rude to me when I showed up for my scheduled time to do SS. I was f****** tired of her b******* so I grabbed my notebook and left and I never returned. Although I wasn't symptomatic, I learned I had a herniated disc at L5-S1 and a smaller herniation at L4-L5. My left ankle reflex was also missing. My doctor didn't seemed concerned so I didn't think much of it. No one has ever educated me on injuries in my life so I was stupid enough to trust my doctor and chiropractor who also didn't seem concerned. Little did I know this gym gave me a life altering injury. Eventually one day (a few months later) my back just started to hurt after bending over.....this is the day MY LIFE CHANGED. I've been in pain ever since. This was two years ago. Whenever I would stand or sit my low back would hurt. A lot. To the point I was la

The coaches are really invested into building a better version of yourself. I came into Fulcrum to seek guidance on how to move better in olympic weightlifting. Now I've recently signed up for my first meet in October and I can't wait to put my training to the test. The community at Fulcrum is also amazing. I drive from Greenlake to Redmond because of the support from the community and talented coaches at this facility. It's hard to find another place when you found your niche!
