WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD IN A REPAIR SHOPI never use that feedback tool on Google but this time I felt like I had to share my experience with the public, because of the terrible experience I had with Gerber Collision and Glass Redmond, WA.My car was left at the shop for a replacement of a bumper and stayed there for more than 2 months (!!!). In this time, there were so many reasons to the delay that some of them sounded unreal. For example, wrong parts were sent and we have to wait a few more weeks, no ETA. How is this happening?Communication with the front desk was also very bad, as I was asking for status and for calls back and never got one.Every person I talked with said that it sounds like a very bad business and it shouldn't work like that with repair shops in our area.Lastly, even the insurance I worked with said that their communication with the shop was problematic, and it was resulted in a delay of weeks in the reimbursement I had to get for the car rental.

I wish I could give this place a better review because the work itself is good and it looks great, however the experience wasn't great. I had minimal appearing front end damage from a rear end accident. They charged me over 13k in repairs, almost totaling out my vehicle. Although that caused a great deal of worry it's not the main issue I have. From the beginning I waited 2 weeks to even be able to give them the vehicle, they only took pictures and said it would most likely take 5 days to do the repairs. Judging by the amount of cars in their lot I had a feeling it could be a little longer, but not 8 weeks longer.The shop then got ahold of me and added another week after the 5 days was up because once they pulled the fender off and found more damage. From my experience I can appreciate that they were honest and wanted to do a quality job, but this should have been discovered in the immediate inspection.Then after 2 total weeks they come back and say there could be frame damage, the dash has to be pulled and they have to weld the apron panel. This caused my vehicle to be in their possession longer than I had owned it myself. Again, I understand things happen, but in order to run an efficient/customer pleasing shop you need to perform complete and in depth inspections so the customer has the full scope of the service being performed.The service attendants purposely message you minutes before close so they don't have to deal with whatever questions or complaints you have until the next few days over text message.I wasn't able to get a rental car for this entire time, causing me to spend way more money than necessary for transportation. Overall I am pleased with the end result, but disappointed with communication and lack of care for each individual inspection/customer. A shop should not take on more work than they can handle and from speaking with corporate it seems this is exactly what they do.

This place should be out of business. I went to their location for estimate request. They asked me to come back in 6 weeks. When I went there they took 5-6 pictures in 3 minutes which they could do in my first visit. After 3.5 months they did not even submit a repair request to the insurance company. Stay away from this place.

Would give negative 5 star if possible. This place is a pure joke. They repaired my Mazda and tell me they don't have the trailer hitch that my car needs. I was told to pickup the car without the trailer hitch and they would order it and asked me to get back in about 4 weeks. Now it's like four months and they have nothing for me. I have called them countless times but their employees don't have a clue where the trailer hitch is, just keep telling excuses, lies after lies. Wrong order placed, different vendor stories, shipping delays, all of those BS. A month ago they told me it is shipped from etrailer.com, but refused to share the tracking information. Guess what, I still haven't received anything. I would never imagine etrailer takes a month to ship what is in stock. My insurance company already paid them so this is FRAUD! It is not my first time to deal with a car body shop and I would certainly understand some delay, but this is simply unacceptable. Don't repeat my mistake and keep away from doing business with this group of liars.

This company is terrible, told me my car would be done in two weeks now it’s a month later, if you expect them to be honest forget it they don’t know what they are doing terrible company never take ur car here ever! 0 stars.

I scheduled an appointment a month and advance for my car which was damaged to get an estimate for repair. I called them a week before because this is the first time I’ve done that and I left a message saying please call me back about how long it will take and will I need a rental car etc. etc. The answering machine said they would call me back the next day I never got a call so I called again in a couple of days with the same iMessage that I was concerned and I would like some information please call me back they never returned my call very very unprofessional I am very disappointed

Terrible communication. Even our insurance company was frustrated with them. They had the car over a month 'fixing' it before we called and found out they needed more work authorization which they hadn't called our insurance for. The car was just sitting there. It was then totaled and we had been out of a car for months. Our insurance company filed a formal complaint with them.

Gerber personnel was courteous and professional. I appreciated how little time I had to spend in their office. All the paperwork was ready to be signed both when I dropped and picked up my vehicle. They arranged for the rental, and kept me updated on the progress of the repairs. The best part was that the repairs were finished much sooner than anticipated. I definitely recommend Gerber Collision in Redmond.Service: Body & Trim
