I really enjoy this gym. Good equipment variety and clean. However, giving three starts because this place needs to figure out its A/C situation. I have been coming here for over a year and it constantly feels like it is 80 degrees everywhere. The women’s only area doesn’t even have a single vent coming into the space. Just two fans (one has been broken for months despite multiple requests to the front desk to fix it). Also, the parking lot is a horror at prime time, a lot of people opt to park across the street at Kohl’s.

Great equipment and the staff is always friendly. No complaints really, I’ve been coming here for almost a decade and haven’t had any issues in that time

Like all the group fitness instructors. I wish the pool, hot tub and steam rooms just work more often.

The gym was really nice when I joined in 2022. In the name of renovation they have almost doubled the price now while the quality (specially of men’s locker room) has taken a nose dive!I continue to go to this gym as it is close to home and the trainer is a gem! Equipment is reasonably good. The men’s locker room is a joke! I have to try at least 7-8 (open) lockers every time to find 1 that works. Apparently the batteries are an issue but the management refuses to do anything about this. Think about how basic this is but there just does not seem any intent to o fix this simple thing even after communication with their management team. It’s funny to see everyone just trying to find a locker that works. Steam room is not to be talked about. They were renovating for 3-4 months at the end of 2023 when the steam room was inaccessible and then immediately after opening it was not working for weeks again. Currently it has been broken for the past 3-4 weeks and the notice says they are working diligently (no ETA for fix). I would love to get a number from 425 management on how many days in the past 1 year their steam room has been functional - I will bet anything it is lower than 25% (!)It’s a pity that they charge you for all of these facilities as part of the membership fee and then they are simply unable to maintain the steam rooms and the batteries of the men’s lockers even with such high membership fee! I am currently contemplating finding a better gym.

The dichotomy of being a member of both 425 fitness and Fitness quest has been incredibly eye-opening. 425 is $120 (no military discount either which was pretty shocking but whatever) where you receive no guest passes if you want to bring a friend, a day pass to even try the gym is $15, and the amenities you get to use are cramped and constantly malfunctioning. Not to mention, (from what I’ve read) cancelling is an insane hassle.Conversely, I pay $140 a month for my wife and I, the gyms are huge, the auburn location has like 8 basketball courts/volleyball courts, they have saunas, and it’s incredibly easy to cancel. ALSO, this $140 INCLUDES unlimited classes for Brazilian jiu jitsu, kickboxing, judo, wrestling, and boxing at every skill level. Most BJJ places charge $120+ for a single membership but fitness quest gives you EVERYTHING. I guess that’s why they were voted best in the Northwest.I’m not trying to advertise for FQ. I just want to point out that these two gyms of comparable size, locations, and accessibility, offer vastly different experiences at insanely different price points. 425 Redmond didn’t even offer reduced rates during their 4 month “remodel”. They limited access to bathrooms and showers, no access to saunas and had the nerve to charge the same $120. I understand that King County is a wealthy area, and the reality is, there aren’t many quality gyms. East side is good for the price but there are no amenities and it’s small. I can’t speak for the others. But it’s clear they’re taking advantage of a fairly small market in a wealthy area that allows them to price gouge and treat their members however they want, because they know they’re one of very limited options.425 is clean, and it has a lot of amenities, and the equipment is nice. But if there were any other options for a large gym space with a sauna, that was even slightly cheaper, I would happily cancel and switch. I love the quality of the gym, but the profit drive is insane. I would relish in the day that Fitness Quest opens a King County location just to watch the mass exodus.I’m not just trying to leave a nasty review. If you don’t plan on swimming or going to a bunch of group classes, don’t join this gym if it creates any kind of financial strain. They’ve hiked the prices before and I’m sure they’ll do it again.

This gym is awesome!! fun weights to throw around that go heavier than most gyms with kettle bells , sand bags, medicine ball, ect. Love the sled. best part is the yoga studio for its teachers and floor in the room. Super soft and warm. Sauna is hot! Pools, ect make this an awesome health spa ??

Really love this location; It has a TON of different facilities (joined for salt water pool, stayed for everything else), the staff is super chill and friendly, and it's very clean-- At least from the women's locker room and shared areas perspective.I've seen cleanliness complaints that seem to center around the men's locker room, so I would personally conclude that it might be a "some nasty men" problem rather than a facility problem as everywhere else seems tidy and sanitary. I always wipe machines/equipment before and after use and have never come up with a dirty pre-wipe.I've never known the staff to be unfriendly, personally; They always acknowledge me with at least a smile and nod, which is a-okay.The only bummer time I've had ever had here was finding parking in the evening, which is kind of just the nature of going ANYWHERE right after work, not really a 425 problem.

⭐️UPDATE TO PREVIOUS REVIEW!⭐️After an initially disappointing visit to the gym, where I encountered unwelcoming service at the front desk, I felt compelled to share my experience with the management team. To my relief and satisfaction, the gym manager, Wayne Cook, handled the situation with exceptional care and professionalism.Wayne reached out personally to address my concerns, offering a sincere apology and a detailed explanation of the steps being taken to ensure that all guests feel welcomed and valued from the moment they step into the gym. His commitment to improving customer service and his understanding approach made a significant impression on me.Because of Wayne’s proactive and compassionate handling of the situation, I’ve decided to give the gym a second chance. It’s clear that under Wayne’s leadership, the gym is dedicated to creating a positive and inclusive environment for all its members and guests.Thank you, Wayne, for turning my initial disappointment into a hopeful outlook on what I believe can be a great gym experience. Your actions have shown that feedback is not only heard but acted upon, reinforcing my decision to return and see the positive changes for myself.

I agree with Eugene. If I was a business owner and had a manager who was telling customers to leave, I would find a new manager. After a brief calm the loud music is back making it not an enjoyable experience. You talk to the front desk and they tell you to get lost or nothing as changed. Now we are being lied too as it is obvious they have cranked up the music volume. At least cut the feed to the small wall speakers. For all the good things about 425 there are some glaring pitfalls: keeping the hot tubs and therapy pool working and many of the locks are broken on the lockers. Please fix the music!!

After a period of relative calm, the intense music levels at 425 Fitness Club in Redmond have returned. Despite my efforts to convey to the club manager that such an extreme volume of music may not be healthy for members, he argues that the intense sound "energizes" them. When I shared this rationale with those around me, they laughed, dismissing it with sarcastic comments like "Of course, I can run faster" or "Lift much more weights." The dispute with the manager proved fruitless, and ultimately, he suggested that I consider changing clubs. If I were the owner of this club, I would propose to the manager that he consider changing the club himself. This action could provide significant relief for members who prefer their choice of music volume over that imposed by someone with a more totalitarian approach.

5/5 not for the fitness place but for the facials, done by Ela, I have been getting here. She works down the hall, just left of the entrance. Exchange usually happens over the phone through text and she is happy to accommodate your time. The sessions I have with her are usually 1.5 hours long and are geared towards cleansing and acne. She does an amazing job at making you feel at home and comfortable in the room -- lights are dim, calming music, massages, etc. And I definitely walk out of there feeling refreshing and my skin is good for about a month before hormones come and mess things up. She also has her own sets of skincare in the closet for purchase. These are the ones she uses on you and introduces to you in the session. You do get discounts if you keep going back.

They just opened up their sauna and it’s becoming unsanitary; watched a guy shave his foot calluses and wipe his foot flakes all over the sauna and another guy shaving his legs and junk in the sauna and there are no posted rules saying they cannot. All my time as a member I never seen employees checking that gym etiquette are being followed in the locker rooms/sauna.It also takes a long time to get a sweat going in the sauna because the door doesn’t automatically close behind you, it actually gets stuck, so the members swing it open and it gets stuck and all the hot air goes out by the time they realize and turn around. You can watch the temperature drop as cold air rushes in and the sauna has to reheat. The gym itself is not bad, but it is like the budget version of LifeTime or ProClub - this place could tier up but the issues are members who lack all spatial awareness and that there is no enforcement which makes this place lower on the totem pole.Just to clarify, 425 is closest to me but I’ve been a member at Lifetime & ProClub and they have signs & enforcement against shaving hair/body calluses, and full nudity in the saunas as well as regular locker room attendants who ensure these policies. You may save money coming to a more budget friendly athletic club but you’ll pay with a lesser quality experience.

I cannot recommend this gym - the men's locker room has been entirely closed for renovations for several months now. As a paying member losing access to an integral facility I expected to have, this is unacceptable. There’s been zero communication from management on timelines or accommodations. I specifically signed up for amenities like the sauna and steam room. Yet my membership dues remain unchanged but previously went up in price, even while losing promised features. Unless you don't care about having a functional men's locker room or bathroom, I'd advise joining another gym that values transparency with members and provides the services they advertise. Poor handling of facility outages has cost them my loyalty.

doubled the price for me and tripled it for my wife in just one year. I kept all my memberships and paid throughout covid, doing my part to help small business. This place went from $30 a month to $90 a month for my wife, then I went to cancel and they said they get to screw me out of one more month of fees since it takes a month to cancel.
