I typically take my dog to Banfield nearby but decided to try Petco's Vetco. Everyone at the Vetco area was super nice and welcoming including the cashier at the front. My dog Arya felt the love. The store was nice and clean. We will be coming back.

They rejected my dog for grooming after I jumped through a bunch of hoops to get her here, and I very honest and up front ahead of time with what she needed.
Beware- apparently they don't groom older dogs. 🙄 I was told 'corporate' grooming salons are much pickier than independent groomers. Sure seems like they could have told me about their policies ahead of time so I could have gone elsewhere! I wasted a TON of time waiting for an appointment, only to be turned away- right before we are leaving for a trip, so I can't get her groomed anywhere until we get back. EXTREMELY disappointed. BE UPFRONT ABOUT YOUR POLICIES (she had some matting on her hind legs- not terrible either, and I told them about it beforehand.) I'd never recommend them to anyone because of this. Total waste of time.

My neighbor and I get all our cat supplies here. When we get home and roll the cart in the door, the cats go crazy. They know good things have arrived.

Shop here if you enjoy awful customer service. We experienced an issue with an aggressive groomer who did not follow Petco's own policy and training. Asked to speak to the GM to find a solution and was ignored. With a nearby location closing due to low sales (was told this by an employee) and increasing competition from E-commerce, you'd expect the management would be eager to drive sales and not drive away customers.

Just wanted to give a shoutout to Lacie at Petco! She's been our go-to dog groomer for the past two years, and we couldn't be happier! We take our very nervous pup to Petco every couple of months for a proper bath and nail trim (only, no haircuts). Lacie has always been extra patient and gentle with her, which was super important for us when looking for a groomer since our dog is super anxious. She's responsible and honest about the salon's rules and why they have them, always doing what's best for the dogs. She also trains the new groomers, which I appreciate, in case she's not able to see us. Plus, Petco's prices are more competitive with other groomers in the area. If you've got a nervous furry friend, I'd definitely recommend giving Lacie (or groomers trained by her) at Petco Redmond a try. She's been a game-changer for us! The folks who work the registers are also really nice.

Prices seemed pretty high compared to Petco and this is a smaller store so their stock seemed pretty limited. Lots of shelves empty. Very friendly staff.

Brian was great helping with our fish problems over the phone. Ren was great helping us in store including planning purchases in a certain order to help with our fish project.
Huge selection of cat toys.
Way better overall than the Factoria location and actually closer too.

The cost of goods at this establishment is likely to be higher than average due to its unique position as the sole Petco store in the East Side area, excluding Kingsgate. The recent closure of the downtown Kirkland location has further contributed to this price increase. I have personally observed instances where the in-store prices exceed the sale prices advertised on the app. When I arrived at the store, the manager informed me that the sale I was interested in had been discontinued for some time and was no longer valid. It would be beneficial if the company could update its website to reflect this change to avoid confusion for customers. As a publicly traded billion-dollar company, it is surprising that there doesn't seem to be an IT team capable of addressing this issue.
Additionally, I found it disappointing that there was a lack of assistance available to help me find what I needed. Instead of receiving assistance, I was met with shouting from the front end staff. Even in the pet exhibit area, there was no one attending to the animals. I witnessed ferrets biting each other to the point of bleeding, and when I mentioned this to 21 employees, none of them seemed concerned.
Furthermore, it is concerning that basic customer service etiquette, such as greeting customers and offering assistance, was not followed. While I was at the pet exhibit, no one approached me to inquire if I was interested in adopting a pet. It appeared that the only services being actively promoted were grooming and expensive items.
Due to these issues, I have decided to discontinue my patronage of Petco. Not only am I concerned about the controversy surrounding the company, but I am also deeply disappointed by the poor treatment of customers.

Everyone is friendly and helpful. I love going to all of the Petcos in the Greater Seattle area. Check out the Vital Premier club, too. It's worth it with all the $5 coupons.
