With Fred Meyer shutting down, it’s baffling that there’s still only one cashier on the night shift. Four self-checkouts and not a single regular register open? The line stretched all the way to the back of the store, and I watched multiple customers walk out in frustration. The lone cashier was doing everything he could, but one person can’t fix the chaos created by corporate greed.

It really only deserves one star. I moved to Redmond almost 2 years ago and in the beginning it was ok until an elderly white woman working here decided she wanted to embarrass me for using a food stamp card in front of the whole store. I am disabled. I went to her supervisor David who in turn decided to tell the store people to give me more grief. This same elderly woman then hit me with a cart on a later occasion leading me to call the police and although it didn’t hurt I thought it would be a wonderful lesson to teach a racist. Instead she was just moved to another store down the street and the employees began a slandering campaign against me. I saw the white guy with long dark hair behind the Starbucks counter explaining to a customer why he doesn’t like me because I’m some sort of liar, however that employee was just mad because he pretended to see me stealing when really he just profiled me and came up short, since I am not a thief. Another employee, (after I started working a job even while disabled) explained away to fellow co workers that I was partaking in a scam when I asked if I can do cash back in self check out. She said they have a cash app bar code they use, then put some sort of device in the machine I was using to demonstrate that she was possibly stopping me from this made up scam. I was using Chime….. I have reported these things but David seems to find me being harassed funny. I reported these things to Kroger and still yesterday David laughingly asked me if I was ok. I refrained from writing this review because there are employees at this QFC that have wonderful customer service skills or simply leave me be however I’m led to write how terrible the experience of shopping here has been, I hope one day a black person can walk in this store without being stereotyped and harassed.

This QFC was very clean and had a nice produce selection. My cashier was Orion and he was very very sweet. He greeted me with a smile, and was very conversational. I enjoyed shopping at this location and would come back again.

I just wanted you guys to know that I genuinely refused to go to your store because you never have anybody checking out customers and you make all of your customers file into your tiny little self checkout area and there is a line that goes all the way down the aisle to wait and you’re waiting there for 15 minutes with all of your items in your arms trying to check out so yeah that’s why I do not go to your store. Hire some people!!!
